Monkey pox is bacterial or viral?

Monkeypox is a viral disease, so it is not bacterial; instead, it is caused the Monkeypox virus which is under the Orthopoxvirus genus of the virus: Although, it is associated with the smallpox virus, but the Monkeypox is usually less severe in humans.

In addition, monkeypox has been mainly seen in Central and West Africa, affecting both animals and people, and people tend to get infected through touching animals with infected skin or muscles including monkeys, squirrels or rodents. Transmission of the virus from one human being to another is also possible through transmission by airborne droplets or transmission by contact with the patient’s body fluids or open wounds.

What are the primary symptoms of monkeypox appears.

The general manifestations of monkeypox are fever, head ache, muscle ache, back ache, swollen nodes, chills, and tiredness: rash appears and first starts on the face then on other parts of the body.

It tends to progress through stages of elevated lesions that appear like firm, slightly swollen wheals, pustules that become filled with pus and crusts that develop over the humpy lesions. However, these symptoms show some difference for each person and some people may be affected less seriously, as such if you have consciousness of being infected with monkeypox or developed these symptoms, then it is important to go to the hospital early.

Is monkeypox curable and if yes then how?

Everything that I know about monkeypox is the fact that this is a viral disease with symptoms that are rather close to smallpox but with milder effects; moreover, it is important to mention that for the moment, there is no method to treat monkeypox officially certified by the FDA.

However, some measures like adequate rests and sufficient intake of water and fluids together with other medications may be useful in combating the disease and in some instances, antivirals may also be used in severe monkeypox cases.

Isolation is also very important and there is also vaccination against smallpox which may help against monkeypox and if you think that you have monkeypox or if you have been in contact with anyone or anything that has monkeypox then you should seek medical advice from anyone who can diagnose your health situation as I was saying.
