What Do You Mean By a Balanced Diet

The intake of food based on pleasure and taste, does not qualify a healthy lifestyle. In the thrive to maintain our mental as well as our physical health, a balanced diet is a basic need for that accomplishment. There are a lot of benefits attached to having a balanced diet.

What is balanced diet?

A balanced diet is an ideal diet that contains the complete nutrients with reasonable proportion. A balance diet consist of the vital elements like carbohydrates, protein, fats, fibre, minerals and vitamins.

One thing people fail to understand is that a diet/meal can be fully and easily perfect for an ideal body functioning, yet the diet may not be balanced. This is because people often times prefer taste over the nutritional value of each meal containing the right elements (nutrients).

You can't possibly compare a person who loves to eat junk food like pizzas, hamburger and others with a person who eats more of protein, vegetables and other elements inclusive. The potential of nutritional value for the second person will be obviously at good level. Although sometimes we can take other kinds of find but always make we have a balanced diet most of the times.

Do you have a balanced diet in your life?

Oh! Yes I do. Whenever I get the chance to prepare my meal myself, I tend to make it balance with every possible means. I will say I do have good percentage of balanced diet in my life.Times where I could count as when I don't get the opportunity to have adequate diet are when I'm at work, just grab something and eat to ease the hunger and also when I feel lazy/tired to prepare a meal which will eventually take time. ....

Do you experience any adverse effect from your unhealthy diet?

With the level of my cautiousness in feeding, I have not experienced any adverse effect of unhealthy diet. Simply because I take my diet with uttermost care.

For some people who have the habit of consuming unhealthy diet such as sugar-sweetened foods and beverages, junks and highly processed foods are vulnerable to obesity and other chronic health conditions.

What should be added to your daily diet to make it balanced? Share some examples of meals that are balanced

To make my daily diet more balanced, I would love to add the following

  1. Having some dairy as well as dairy alternatives like the home made soya drinks.
  2. Eating variety of fruits daily.
  3. Eat more of proteins like beans, egg, fish.
  4. Increase fibre in meals like potatoes, rice etc.

An example of a balanced meal is:-

✓Breakfast:- bread 🍞, butter (rich in nutrient), tea and water
✓Lunch:- Jollof rice, plantain, meat, fried chicken in pepper 😋and water
✓Dinner:- sweet potatoes, egg, vegetables and water....

Conclusion

In conclusion, a balanced diet/meal is not just based on the fact of eating the right food but getting to understand the worth, value and impact those foods has on our health. Always remember that balance diet is about creating a viable, pleasurable eating patten that comprises a kind of food in the right and reasonable proportion...

Ciertamente amiga la alimentación debe ser balanceada y tener variedad de nutrientes necesarios, las frutas aportan muchas vitaminas , la comida debe tener una fuente de proteínas, además de carbohidratos, la comida chatarra es muy buena y me gusta pero su aporte es poco benéficioso para nuestro cuerpo.
Igualmente el consumo de azúcar debe ser mínimo ya que esta no es bueno consumírla en cantidades.
La fibra debe estar presente en nuestra dieta para ayudar a nuestro sistema digestivo.
