Steemit Engagement Challenge / S13W1- "Health And Our Environment"

Environment is the physical surrounding which humans, animals, plants and other living organism lives. In environment there are various factors which affect and influence the lives of these in organisms which include chemical, biological, and physical factors

Our physical environment have a direct impact on our physical and mental health. Basically there are two major ways that the environment have impacts on their physical and mental health of its habitants which consist of direct exposure and indirect exposure. Indirect exposure occurs when the human health is affected by other organisms who lives in the same environment which in turn affects human health while direct exposure happens when humans are exposed to harmful pollutant or other environmental factors directly.

To have positive effect on individuals around the environment we need to practice the activity of environmental sustainability to support the lives of human without harming or causing destruction to the health of the planet. That is why in my article today I'll be talking about and the contest theme health and environment which is centered on global health on the first week of the season 13 of Steemit Engagement Challenge in healthy steem community.

In my own understanding global health refers to the general health affairs of the entire planet and its not just focus on a specific region or country. Fortunately it takes into account not only the health of humans but also the health of plants and animals. Looking at the global health there are some factors which can affect the global health which includes poverty, pollution, climate change as well as war. In order to improve and develop global health in a gradual process we all need to address these factors.

Generally the human health is a key and basic components of the global health. All over the world there are various health issues that has been challenging the lives of people such as malaria, chronic diseases like tuberculosis heart disease and diabetes.
Also in developing countries there are numbers of health issues that has affected them including the problem of malnutrition and the lack access to quality drinking water

• Providing Health care to Nations in crisis
• Making health care accessible to everyone
• Expanding access to vaccines and medicines
• Making healthy food accessible to everyone
• Investing in health care workers.

In improving global Health all the above listed points are very important, but if I must choose one, I will go with the point which says making every food accessible to everyone.
My reason is that good nutrition is one of the essentials for good health. We all know the importance of eating healthy food (balanced diet). Lack of access to healthy food can lead to malnutrition which introduces a very serious health issue.
Poor nutrition can also affect the educational achievement of a person as well as one's cognitive development which will eventually have a long term effect on a person's ability to secure a good job and provide for himself and family...

Like I earlier said in improving global Health there is no less important choice or point but due to the challenge questions I must take one, so I will be going with the poems which states that making Healthcare accessible to everyone.
Some people may like to counter my choice, but my reason is that; the rest point which is the three points are very essential in improving global health. We all the importance of good nutrition and healthy food. For example a nation where there is crisis providing health care to such nation will help to save life and prevent outbreak of diseases. Also investment in Healthcare workers are professionals is an essential way or a basic necessity for providing quality health care to the people.

Although making Healthcare accessible to everyone is very very important but not as important as the other three points to me. I hope you agree with my reasoning..

If I'm to add another important point here, it will be
Global awareness and education about health, hygiene and sanitation...
My reason is simple, Education is the key, and lack of educational knowledge on health Can lead to unhealthy practices like not washing of hands, using unsafe water which will eventually result to varieties of health issues like diarrhea, cholera and the rest of them.
I believe by educating people about health, hygiene and sanitation we can help them make better choices and the improve their individual and community health.
