To be honest the job of a caregiver is not limited down to only nurses or doctors but it is also positioning on two family members or Friends.
Taking care of your father who had stroke 6 years ago which may have prevented him from working and doing basic things he could do who was a good way to show that the job of a caregiver is not only for healthcare workers. As you mentioned in your post the qualities of a good caregiver you were all right. Truth be told a categive r must show love to his or patient because it will fasten the healingg process. Also other qualities like patience, empathy and communication are needed
