It can also be referred to as a situation where the red blood cells don't have enough hemoglobin. "Hemoglobin is a described as a protein in red blood cells that transports oxygen to different parts of the body.

To prevent anemia, it is simply doing the opposite of it causes. Below are some detailed measures on ways to prevent anemia:

  • Iron (spinach, beans, red meat and fortified cereals).

  • Wash hands regularly

  • Folic acid supplements( mostly for pregnant women)
  • Iron supplements (only if instructed by a healthcare professional)
