What's the first step to prevent infection when treating a wound?

The first thing to do when treating wound is to prevent infection from entering the wound by cleaning the wounded part and the wound area with ethanol's mostly know as spirit by doing that it will helps in removing any dirt or bacteria way present in the wound

When you are done cleaning the wounded part, it is very important to apply an antiseptic or antibacterial solution like Chlorhexidine or ampiclox to prevent the wounded area from getting infected.

When you finish applying those products, cover the wound with a clean bandage so that will help to protect the wound from any getting any infection

How do you clean a wound properly before applying medication or a bandage?

To clean a wound first thing to is to wash you hand first so that when cleaning the wounded part bacterial doesn't past through and you have to use methylated spirit with the help of wool to clean the blood stain from the wounded part before medication can be applied.

You need to do this properly so that the wound will health fast and it very important to clean all the blood stain so that it doesn't bring infection inside the wound and by doing that it will make the medication to work more effective.

Why is it important to keep a wound moist during the early stages of healing?

The reason why wound should be keep wound moist at the early stages is to make the medication that was applying during treatment to work effectively and when the wound is at moist stage the medicine that is apply the moisture help in reguling the medication inside.

When wound is dry up it makes it hard for mediation to work effectively and you will not be able to treat it well.

What are the signs of a possible infection in a wound, and what should you do if you suspect one?

There are many signs that will occur in the wounded areas that will show that the is a possible infection inside the wound some of those signs include pus, swelling, pains around the wounded part or discharge. When those symptoms is noted it is very advisable to visit the nearest hospital for proper treatment.

How can you tell if a wound can be treated at home or if it needs medical attention?

What I will to say on this is that It all depends on the depths of the wound if the and how the how that wound is being got. Wound that is got through glass need to be taken to hospital for proper treatment and to make sure that this is no leftovers glasses inside the wound.

Sometimes if it just a small injury maybe from home and it not really serious it maybe treat at home first but it still advisable to take it to way you will receive medication attention for proper treatment to avoid any form of infection.
