While there may be several other factors that can cause this condition, the most rampant one is that of 𝐑𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘. ⁣

WHAT IS RHESUS FACTOR⁣

Rhesus factor is that protein outside of your red blood cells. There are two types which are rhesus positive and negative. So as an individual, you are either positive or negative. ⁣

When you check your blood group, you will be able to find out yours, so you can be blood group “O" negative or positive. ⁣
Blood group A or B or AB negative or positive. ⁣
So rhesus factor is that negative or positive attached. ⁣
⁣
⁣

⁣IMPLICATION OF RHESUS FACTOR⁣

When a woman marries a man that is rhesus positive while she is negative. There is an incompatibility in their rhesus factor. ⁣
⁣
Though they can get married, the woman might be affected if the right thing is not done during childbearing. ⁣
⁣

When the woman gets pregnant, the baby may be rhesus positive since the father is positive. ⁣
⁣
Now remember the woman's body is negative. ⁣
Now when the baby comes in with positive blood, the body of the woman which is negative sees it as a foreign body. ⁣
⁣
⁣
So during the time of childbearing, a small portion of the baby's blood will get mixed with the mother's blood during delivery. ⁣
⁣
The woman's body will see it as a foreign thing and will create antibodies to fight, attack, and get rid of it. ⁣
⁣

Here is where the problem is, when the woman gets pregnant again, the antibodies that were produced during the first child birth recognizes the positive protein in the baby's blood and launches an attack to get rid of it. ⁣
This is what sometimes results in miscarriage, stillbirth, etc. ⁣
⁣
⁣
However, the situation can be salvaged if the woman is immediately injected with 𝐑𝐇𝐎𝐆𝐀𝐌 Injection after giving birth to the first child to prevent the forming of antibodies.

So that subsequently, as the woman takes in, the baby can be spared. ⁣
⁣
⁣
Failure to give the woman this injection at least 72 hours after birth will lead to the death of subsequent babies.
