Welcome to week 2 as I choose the healthy steem community as my first point of call. I must commend the community for their steadfast role in ensuring we have health-related enlightenment through its posts on the platform. Today's topic is top-notch and here is my entry.

💉Which of these three routes of medication administration do you consider the fastest and most effective to relieve pain, and why?

This topic is for me and when I say this, my spouse does know why. Anyway, I am the kind that is fearless in anything about medication. My arms are open to getting any of these listed routes as a means of getting treated.

All routes are fast but they come with considerations which are emergency and urgency of purpose. When this is considered, Intravenous (IV) route becomes the fastest to relieve pain.

The reason is simple because of the medium of travel into all parts of the body. When it is injected through the veins, it goes directly into the bloodstream and achieves immediate circulation and needed relief.

This is not the same for either the oral route or the intramuscular route which the former needed some form of digestive processes before absorption could be effected. And sometimes, the 100% required drug efficacy isn't guaranteed due to this lengthy process.

The latter is also slow but faster than the oral route. It brings relief just almost like the IV but not as fast due to their medium of movement. Fluids are known not to move fast while in muscles. Absorption isn't as fast as required.

💊 There are two ways to administer injected treatment, intravenous and intramuscular. Which of them do you prefer in case you need quick relief or discomfort?

Both of these processes and drug routes are fast just that one is faster which is the IV that mediums through the bloodstream. Body for purposes of simplicity, I prefer the INTRAMUSCULAR route. It is easy for me and doesn't require tracing my veins to inject me.

But if I already have the cannula inserted, the INTRAVENOUS route is the game changer. It is an all-express and the fastest of all routes. But lately, my medications have been largely carried out through INTRAMUSCULAR or ORAL routes.

💉There is a very good medicine for our body vitamin B12, why do you think they indicate it more in injection and not in pills? Do you think they do not have the same components or the same effect?

Medications given through injections, be it Intravenous or Intramuscular are usually taken in a state that does not require further breakdown before it hits the ground working which brings instant relief.

Injections taken through Intravenous or Intramuscular tend to guarantee 100% drug efficacy without interference. It is not impaired by any digestive enzymes through its medium.

Consumption of vitamin B12 medications through orals isn't forbidden but it doesn't guarantee the 100% drugs taken. This is because of the impairments observed at the different digestive levels or layers in the stomach.

💊If you are one of those who do not take pills and do not like injections, what other method are you looking for to relieve pain or discomfort!?

I am a free-taker. So far it is from a medical personnel and well diagnosed, I do not have fears consuming my drugs either orally or subjecting myself to injections either intravenous or intramuscular.

There are other different medical routes of administering drugs either by creating a patch on the skin and allowing for gradual absorption of drugs, or through rectum insertion and others, but Orals, IV, and IM are the most commonly used and effective ways of administering drugs.
