Osteoporosis is a a very terrible disease which affects the bone by making the bone not to function properly as normal. This disease decreases the bone mass and makes the bone weak. Exercising can really help to prevent osteoporosis because our bones become more flexible and strong 💪.

What do you understand by osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis can be defined as a bone illness which occurs when ever the bone mineral density as well as the bone mass or thickness decreases, this also happens when the strength of the bone changes.

I see this disease as one of those things responsible for the bone pain which humans often experience due to lack of exercise and even old age.

Osteoporosis is a disease which is caused by many factors which are.

  1. Age: as humans age they immune system gets weak, so those the bone behave, they take time to grow when you loss them.

  2. Family history. They is every possiblity of your family lineage having osteoporosis before and this may know happen in the future which you or your children are likely to experience this illness.

  3. Sex: the female gender are likely to get infected with this disease.

  4. Lack of exercise: not participating in recreational activities which helps to build and increase the efficiency of the bones can cause osteoporosis.

  1. Diet: many individuals eat what ever they have to eat, not being concerned if the food is rich or not, this can also cause osteoporosis. Trying our best to consume at least three class of food each day and also eat 😋 a balance diet will help prevent it.

  2. Obesity: if you are a person who has too much weight, osteoporosis has every possiblity of affecting you, you should engage in exercise to reduce the bad cholesterol in your body.

how can you diagnose it or its symptoms?

Osteoporosis is a disease which can be diagnosed taking a measurement of the bone density through DXA at the spine and the lip, these parts are highly considered as the perfect place to examine for the proper diagnosing of osteoporosis in other to prevent it.

SYMPTOMS OF OSTEOPOROSIS

Individuals who are suffering from this disease usually have discomfort at the back, this is caused by a bone broken in the spine. We can also experience a situation where the level of the testosterone and estrogen in both male and female gender is low.

You are likely to be easily affected by disease like the kidney stone, anemia and anorexia. Another thing you will experience at the early stage of the disease is the lack of both potassium and calcium, it also follows with the lack of vitamin D and lossing height within a short period of time.

Osteoporosis is a disease which can be treated by taking the medicine prescribed by the doctor. It can also be treated by regular exercise and the abstaining for sex. This can also be treated by the regular consumption of foods containing vitamin D and calcium, you can expose yourself to the early morning sunlight which can help increase vitamin D.

Ways of preventing osteoporosis

  1. Make sure that you eat fruits which contains vitamin D.

  2. Eating food which have a healthy diet and calcium can help keep the bones stay healthy and free from osteoporosis.

  3. You should also avoid the smoking of herbs, cocaine, marijuana and cigarettes.

  4. You can also reduce your consumption of alcoholic beverages, this will aid a lot by allowing the vitamin and calcium to work in the bones.
