Contest alert !! Colour blindness

Greetings! I hope everyone here is safe and healthy by the Grace of Allah Almighty. Today I am here to take part in the contest organized by @hive-168205 MOD of Healthy Steem community. The title of the contest is "Colour blindness". So let's start!

Color blindness is a condition where a person can't see colors in a usual way or like most of the people see colors. It is often genetic and is more in men than women. The most common type of color blindness is red-green color blindness where it is hard to tell the difference between red and green.

This color blindness cause issue in daily life for such people like looking at the traffic signals, reading maps, playing games, or choosing ripe fruits. However with special glasses or tools color blindness can be controlled. It is important to be aware of color blindness for every person to understand and suppor those who have it.

Below are some points I want to share.

1. Color blindness is a condition where a person has trouble seeing colors that most of us can easily see. It causes because of cells issue in the eyes.

2. There are differenty types of color blindness. Most common is red-green color blindness. Another type is blue-yellow color blindness. Some people are complete color blind and they can't see things clearly and in light.

3. Color blindness is inherted means it is from parents to their children through genes. Sometimes it is caused by eye diseases, aging or eye injuries.

4. Color blindness have huge impact on someone's daily life tasks because they find it hard to distinguish between colors, reading color books, using smartphones, enjoying nature, and traffic signals.

Here are three underlying causes of colour blindness:

1. Genetic Factors

Color blindness is often passed down through families. It means if you are colorblind one of the reason is because your parents are carrying this disease and have passed down to you. It is caused by inherted genes that affect the eyes cells for detecting colors.

2. Diseases and Conditions

Some diseases also cause color blindness like age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. These diseases can cause color vision problems by damaging the eye's retina or optic nerve.

3. Eye Injuries or Damage

Sometimes due to accident our eyes got injured or sometimes certain medicines can lead to color blindness. Damage to the retina or the optic nerve can interfere with the ability to see colors correctly.

Color blindness itself doesn't cause complete vision loss. It only affects the ability to see and distinguish between certain colors. People with color blindness can still see other colors and have normal vision in terms of clarity and sharpness.

However in severe cases where color blindness is caused by underlying eye diseases or conditions that also affect the retina or optic nerve, they may cause additional vision problems but still I have not heard or see anyone who loss complete vision due to colour blindness. In case of injuries a person can loss complete vision but still it is not due to colour blindness. So yes it is a myth that colour blindness alone can cause complete vision loss.
