When can we say that a person is an alcoholic? Give reasons for your answer

One is an alcoholic the moment one becomes addicted to alcohol and lives as tho one's life depends on it. I will also say that a person considered to be an alcoholic when they have developed a dependence on alcohol, which can lead to significant disruptions in their life. Signs include an inability to control drinking, prioritizing alcohol over responsibilities, some people can use their last money to drink rather than to eat and to invest, and continuing to drink despite negative consequences like health issues or relationship problems.
Getting drunk on alcohol can also earn one the profiling.

Do you think alcohol is a drug? justify your answer!

Alcohol is a drug even tho lots of folks mightn't agree with such characterization on the basis that it's well normalized in society, and one doesn't have to visit a doctor or chemist or pharmaceutical shop to buy them. Other times, it acts as a depressant and can shape human emotion, and sense of reasoning and boost morale.
But the fact that people now see alcohol as a depressant is turning people into drunkards. As a health practitioner I would also say, alcohol is a drug because it's a substance that, when consumed, changes how the body functions physically and mentally. It acts as a depressant, affecting the nervous system and altering a person's thoughts, feelings, and behavior. it also affects the body's central nervous system and can alter perception, mood, and behavior.

Is every drinker considered an alcoholic?

The mere intake of alcohol doesn't necessarily make one an alcoholic. While alcohol is highly addictive due to its ability to stimulate dopamine and endorphins in the brain, one can still develop the required discipline just so one doesn't become addicted over time and becomes an alcoholic. Most of the people I have seen that are drinker and drunkard all results from family problems 85% is gotten from one problem to another, depression and financial problems.

I must say that you've done more than justice in this post. You've explained with your medical practitioner terms that alcohol can be very dangerous to ones health and affect the bodily functions of the body. It's important to note that when talking about alcohol as a drug, we should state how it affects the mental health of someone who's taking it in moderation and those not so as not to make us scared. Lol. Don't you take alcohol? Wishing you best of luck in this challenge and looking forward to reading more of your posts. I'll implore you ensure proper paragraphing in your post next time

Ok sir
Thank you for reading and leaving a comment I will do as said.

You have a nice entry here my friend.
Yes I have witness people who spend their last money on alcohol instead of using it to eat or invest which is very bad.

Alcohol is good but too much if it is not good for our health, because it will cause us more harm than good.

I wish you success in your entry, sending greetings from this part of the world and thanks for the invite 🤗

It was nice reading from you. Alcohol is a substance that brings addiction when we continuously indulge it. Its addiction over time may bring about damages to our body especially to our organs. Therefore it is detrimental to our health as well as it effect. We should stay low or abstain completely from it. Thanks for sharing

Well said. Alcohol and it’s effect has eaten deep into the fabrics of the society and it’s a disease that has cost so much loss to whole families. In fact the American disease control center categorically named alcoholism a disease … I expanded on this and I reiterated this on my post alcohol damage to health
