Greetings to every steemian in this community. Am delighted to share my view on muscle twitching hosted in this community.

What is muscle twitching?

Muscle twitching occur as a result of involuntary minor muscle contraction and relaxation. When muscle contraction takes place, certain things like stress are the main reason why twitch occur. The part in the body normally affected by muscle twitch are the foot, hands, ribcage, thought, arms, arches, calves etc.

What cause muscle twitching?

There are many factors that can cause twitching in the body making the individual to feel uncomfortable. Listed below are some of the causes

  • Caffeine: Consuming excess caffeine to the body can trigger muscle twitch.

  • Lack of Sleep and Exhaustion: When the body doesn't have a enough sleep after a work load, the body might give you a signal through twitches.

  • Stress: Lack of good relaxation can lead to body pains, tension in the muscle which can cause the muscle to twitch.

  • Kidney Disease: Disease like kidney disease can cause twitching in the muscle. This happened when the kidney loses the ability to work properly, causing cramps in some parts of the body.

  • Dehydration: Staying without having enough fluid in the body to perform work properly, muscles will be more likely to twitch.

  • Medication: Certain medication due to illness might results in muscle twitch.

  • Low in Electrolytes: Muscles work more properly in minerals such as magnesium and potassium. Once the body run-low on them, the body will notify with cramps.

How can we prevent our muscles from twitching?

✔️ Eating a balanced diet: Eating healthy meal can be very helpful to prevent muscles from twitching.

✔️ Avoid excess caffeine intake: Taking of caffeine should be in moderation in order not to affect the muscles.

✔️ Exercise: Engaging in regular exercise to keep the overall fitness, stretching the muscles is good.

✔️ Avoid staying hydrated: Make sure you give the body the necessary amount of fluid to work well.

✔️ Sleep: Try to have a enough on daily basis to keep the body in good and healthy state.

✔️ Make sure you wear shoes that properly fit you.

✔️ Avoid standing or sitting in a particular place for too long.

✔️ Try your best to manage stress.
