SELF CARE
Self-care involves taking care of your mental, physical, environmental and emotional well-being. I have seen a young wife of 27years looking like a woman in 40s because of lack of self-care. She was fun of tying wrapper by her chest all day.
Lack of self care can cause the following:
Poor performance in our work place.
We might develop one disease or the other.
We will often time feel tired and stressed.
We will not be clean and healthy.
We might have low self esteem, etc.
PRIORITIZING SELF-CARE
Self-care involves doing exercises, dressing beautifully, keeping your surrounding clean, eating edible food, having time to rest, engaging in activities that makes you happy gives you comfort. Self-care begins with our mind. When I wake up every morning I try to maintain a positive mindset, I say to myself at the mirror, "I am strong, I am beautiful, I am successful, I can make it".
HOW I UNWIND
To unwind I love to go out on a walk and also love to dance when I feel stressed. Dancing helps me relax and forget my worries.

When I play a nice music and dance to it calms my nerves and help me relax. Sometimes just singing gospel music helps me relax.
IMPORTANCE OF SELF-CARE
Self-care is very important and plays a vital role in our well-being for example:
☑ Self-care helps to improve our mental health. It is good to engage in activities that will bring joy and fulfilment to us. There is nothing I want more than to have peace of mind.
☑ Self-care improves our physical health. To achieve this physical health we must exercise and eat balanced diet.

☑ When we take good care of ourselves, our sense of self worth will increase and we will have high self-esteem.
☑ Taking care of myself helps me to manage stress. When we have the mindset of self-care, we think well and plan well to enable us manage stress.
☑ Self-care enhances good relationship with others. It gives us a sense of confidence and comfort.
It is important we create time to rest in the midst of our busy schedule. If you work without resting you will eventually break down at some point. To stay fit and strong I engaged in activities that are healthy and create time to rest in order for me to function well.
MY SELF-CARE PRACTICES
Each day before stepping out I look at myself at the mirror and say beautiful and encouraging things to myself.

I practice the habit of eating a balanced diet every day knowing how important it is to my body. I make sure I have at least 4 essential nutrients in my day's meals. I also practice the habit of excercising atleast three times a week. These activities are beneficial to my health. I appreciate @sahmie for organizing this wonderful contest.
