Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying life with the blessings of Allah Almighty. I am happy to take part in the exciting challenge hosted by Healthy Steem contest Steemit Engagement Challenge / S13W2 - "Protect your Mental Health from Social media Dangers" So, without any further delay, let's dive right in!

What is “social media” in your life, and how many hours a day do you spend on it?

Social media in my life resembles a virtual hangout with friends and family. I can post updates, check out what others are doing, and interact with peoples I might not otherwise run into. Every day, I work on it for one to two hours.

Like a virtual living room, it is where we communicate, share photos, & keep each other informed about each other's lives. It's a wonderful way for us to stay conected even when we are physically apart. I utilize it to exchange moments and stay up to date on global events. Like a constant friendly talk that's only a tap away.

Name five ways social media can have a negative impact on your life and that of your loved ones.

Our lives can occasionally be troubled by social media. It can take up a lot of time, to start. We could lose track of other crucial tasks because we spend so much time looking through posts. It can also result in comparisons. We begin to believe that our lives aren't as good as others' when we watch their highlight reels. That's not a joyful sensation.

The issue of cyberbullying is another. Online, hurtful remarks can be made by others. Social media can sometimes divert our attention from tasks or studies when it should be our primary focus. Finally, it may interfere with sleep. Scrolling late at night keeps us up and wears us out the next day. Thus, we must exercise caution and maintain a healthy balance between our social media use and our offline life.

If you had to implement 5 rules to make sure that social media became HEALTHIER in your environment, what would they be?

We should abide by these five guidelines to improve social media usage in our society. First, we must set screen time limits. We can neglect crucial responsibilities like family and work if we spend too much time on social media. We ought to show kindness on the internet, too. Let's spread optimism instead of hurtful remarks or cyberbullying.

Third, before disseminating information, we should confirm it. Fake news has potential for harm. Privacy is important, fourth. Be cautious about what we share and safeguard personal information. Finally, it is beneficial to take pauses. Give our minds and eyes a break from screens. These guidelines can improve and protect everyone's experience on social media.
