Edited on pixelLap
INTRODUCTION |
---|
Most African parents do say to their children " Don't allow your daily behaviour make me have heart attack". They always say this because they all know what will be the results of such sickness come into their life. Life is valuable and the only way to prolong our life span is to maintain good health and avoid sickness like "Heart attack". @mesola i appreciate you for organising this life saving contest about heart attack and it's cure.
What is heart attack |
---|
When blood flow to a part of the heart muscle is not circulating as it's supposed to or it's blocked, that's what we mean by "Heart attack". What causes this blockage? This blockage is often caused by a blood clot, which can form in a coronary artery that supplies blood to the heart. The way blood flows in our body system us very crucial because without its flow part of the heart muscle will be damaged and lead to chest pain and hard breathing which at the end may lead to untimely death.
What are the causes of heart attack and what are the risks factors |
---|
When the blood vessels that supply blood to the heart muscle become narrowed or blocked due to the buildup of cholesterol and other substances it causes heart attack. The more the blood flow reduces the more chance of having heart attack especially if a blood clot forms and completely blocks the blood flow to a part of the heart muscle.
Risk factors
- Smoking
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes
- Family genetic
Understanding most of these risks factors associated with heart attack can help reduce it and also consulting with medical professionals can help.
What are the heart attack symptoms |
---|
- Hard breathing
When we find it difficult to breath well as usual, it may be a sign or symptoms of heart attack and this may occur with or without chest discomfort.
- Upper body pains
Another symptoms is upper body pains, the pains from the chest can go beyond to the arms, neck and stomach, sometimes pains from the jaw can be a sign that heart attack is about to happen.
- Nausea or vomiting
If someone is experiencing severe nausea which involves shortness of breath or fatigue, this clearly shows the symptoms of heart attack.
How can we prevent ourselves from having heart attack |
---|
- Regular exercise
Exercising regularly is veru crucial because this makes us fit as well as fighting against numerous diseases such as heart attack.
- Avoid smoking
Taking all those substances into our body will not help our health instead it'll trigger them. Avoiding smoking and taking tobacco will help prevent heart attack.
- Stay stress-free
People say this "Let me work o so that I'll remain rich and never to lack again". It's not bad to work so as to survive, but during the process, we should try to get some rest and stay stress-free because it'll help prevent hear attack.
What are the treatment for heart attack |
---|
Aspirin tablet
Chewing or crushing an aspirin tablet and swallowing it promptly can be beneficial during a suspected heart attack. Aspirin tablet helps to thin the blood and prevent further blood clotting.Stenting
This involves placing a stent, which is a small mesh tube, into a narrowed or blocked artery to help restore blood flow to the heart. Stenting is very effective in improving blood flow and also reducing symptoms related to coronary artery disease.
What are the heart attack prognosis and the complications |
---|
Prognosis
High risk
The risk of another heart attack is always higher after the first one. Lifestyle may changes and medications are very important for reducing this risk.Complications
Some people may experience complications, which can include heart failure, irregular heartbeats, and damage to the heart muscle.
Complications
Failure of the heart
A weakened heart may struggle to pump blood effectively, and this will lead to heart failure.Cardiogenic Shock
The body needs enough blood pump, so in severe cases, the heart is unable to pump enough blood to meet the body's needs.
CONCLUSION |
---|
Prevention is better than cure they say. Heart attack is a deadly disease so we should all try as much as possible to avoid it by exercising regularly, staying stress-free and more. When there's life there's hope to become wealthy or rich, so we shouldn't let our everyday routine or activities lead to heart attack. Stay safe and keep steeming my admirable steemians.

Your comprehensive breakdown of heart attacks and their preventive measures is invaluable. The way you've highlighted the causes, symptoms, preventive actions, treatments, and potential complications associated with heart attacks is incredibly informative.
You've elucidated well on the causes, emphasizing the role of cholesterol buildup and narrowed blood vessels in triggering a heart attack. Detailing the symptoms such as breathing difficulties, upper body pains, nausea, and vomiting helps in early recognition of potential warning signs, urging prompt action and medical attention.
Your emphasis on preventive measures like regular exercise, smoking cessation, stress management, and lifestyle changes offers practical advice for reducing the risk of heart attacks. Explaining the role of aspirin in thinning blood during a suspected heart attack and detailing the effectiveness of stenting in restoring blood flow adds depth to your discussion on treatments.
Highlighting potential complications such as heart failure and cardiogenic shock underscores the severity of this condition, urging individuals to take preventive measures seriously.
Your invitation for others to participate in this critical discussion, including @kidi40, @bossj23, and @crystal247, encourages wider community engagement in raising awareness about heart health. Overall, your detailed overview and emphasis on prevention strategies are commendable in promoting heart health within the community. Well done!
