According to research, 30 years ago, the world was shocked by a mysterious disease that seemed to appear out from nowhere, that same disease is popularly known today as AIDS. This disease has taken millions of lives and affected uncountable people. The worse part of this deadly disease is that, despite the progress made for treatment and prevention, it seems nothing is working. Let's talk about AIDS....👇🏾

Most people say that AIDS can be contacted through sweat, urine and saliva which is wrong. AIDS has a father called HIV. If someone is contacted by HIV and it's left untreated, it will surely lead to AIDS. Here are some of the causes of AIDS👇🏾

AIDS can be easily caused or transmitted, when two individuals engage themselves in unprotected sex. Being it vaginal or anal sex, AIDS can be transmitted if done with an infected person without the use of protection (condom). AIDS is not written on someone's forehead, so with the widespread of this deadly disease, almost 90% of individual now, do use condom during sex to avoid contaminating such disease.

Another causes of AIDS is sharing objects like needle or syringe. It's not bad to share what you have with someone else, but when it comes to sharp objects like the needle and syringe, it's totally not recommended because it's one of the fastest way to contact AIDS. Why do you think doctors dispose a syringe after using it on a patient instead of washing it for the purpose of using it on another person? It's to avoid the contamination of the deadly disease (AIDS).

Children can as well be affected by this deadly disease through their mother. If the mother is an AIDS positive, it's possible for the kids to contaminate during birth, breastfeeding and even while inside the stomach during pregnancy.

At first, i thought anyone who has this disease will die instantly when he or she is affected by it, but i was wrong. I've come to know and realise one thing after my personal research. HIV is a virus that leads to AIDS, so with the Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) which is a lifelong treatment for AIDS, it risk can be reduced and prolong the patien's lifespan. This ART can only perform it task on AIDS patient if taken consistently.

Right when i was young and grew up to this stage, I've never heard of a treatment that can cure AIDS totally. The only thing i know is that, the treatment we take for such diseases such as the Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) can only sustain the affected patient for some years, but at last, he or she will die of that disease caused by the deadly virus (HIV).

I'm starting with this, because it seems this is one of the most popular reason people are being affected by AIDS. It's not bad to have sex with your partner because that's how we were created, but during the process we should use condom regularly as protection. You may say, she's my wife, i trust her. Yes, she's your wife, but you don't know the places she's gone to.

Okay, let's day she went to a friend's house to make her hair, during the process a needle mistakenly pierce through her flesh and blood flow. Who knows where that needle comes from? So protection is very important during sex, put trust aside.

Objects that can pierce through our body like the needle, razor and scissors shouldn't be shared, even among our family members. A lot of people have fall a victim to this deadly disease because they take this preventive precaution as a child's play. To avoid falling a victim, it's best we buy our own personal object for our own personal use.

Sometimes the health problems we have needs blood transfusion before we can survive. During this point, if proper care is not taken, we may even die of AIDS instead of the disease that affected us. How? The doctors may transfer blood into our system without screening it to check if it's safe or not. So to stay safe and avoid AIDS, it's proper for the doctors to screen the blood properly at the blood bank before injecting or transferring it to a patient.

AIDS is a very deadly disease caused by HIV and can destroy the body immune system. The goodnews is that with the use of Antiretroviral Therapy (ART), people living with AIDS can manage their condition and their lifespan will be prolonged. The best advice I'll give is, we should try as much as possible to use protection during sex, avoid sharing objects that can pierce through our flesh and visiting the hospital for medical checkup.
