When i see people with disabilities in my society or any where in the world, i say thank you God. I always give God gratitude because i can imagine how people with disabilities do enjoy their daily life especially someone who was able from birth, but as time goes on, turned disabled because of one situation or the other. My humble moderator @sahmie, thank you for coming up with this contest.

People living with disabilities are those that have physical impairments and this cannot allow them participate or engage in numerous activities able people do, such as playing football, feeding themselves and handling a smartphone. When we talk about disabilities, they're of different aspects such as cripple, handicap, mental disorder and the likes of them.

There are numerous ways we can do that. Let me talk about one aspect of a disabled person (Blind). We can make it easier for a blind person in our community by providing him or her a Braille book. We can use a tactile writing system to write down the information or news/ announcement the person needs to know about the community and this will surely make it easier for the blind person to access things in our community because he or she is updated.

Another way we can make it easier for people with disabilities to access things in our community is creating space for them, space in what aspect? In my community, we do fetch water in a public pump called water board. At this place, we do create special space for the disabled or people helping them to fetch water easily without stress. Doing this makes it easier for them to access things in our community.

We can give equal opportunities to people with disabilities by creating an online job in which they can work and earn hourly because their body system normally need rest.

They're some disabled people like the cripple who go on wheelchair seeking for job. We can give them equal opportunity by making sure all companies and industries are wheelchair-accessible, and all entrance there must be ramp so that they'll be able to push their wheelchair using that route.

Assuming their needs and want is not a good thing to do so as to help them. To help people like this without invading their privacy, we have to first of all ask them what they'll need to maintain themselves and stay happy, from there they'll be able to explain in details instead of us running into conclusion or making assumptions which may hurt them so badly.

The first thing to do so as to be supportive is to encourage them everyday with the scriptures. I do read (Revelation 21:4) which says that "crying nor pains will be no more" and also (Isaiah 35:6) which says "By that time, the crippled will jump like an antelope").

I have a friend of mine who's disabled and I've been doing several things to support and help his family as well. He's on a wheelchair and he's the only surviving son of his parents.

I do go to their house 4 times a week to spend time with him, take him around the neighbourhood and also help her mother fetch some firewoods.

Going to his place 4 times a week is in my timetable and schedule for every week, so I don't fail to do that. I think it's one of the way to support people with disabilities and their family.

CONCLUSION

Sitting down to watch how people run around, play football, swim and doing numerous activities easily isn't easy, this people do feel depressed and they need use able people to help and encourage them. We all should do everything possible to help and support people with disabilities.
