Hello everyone,
I hope you all are fine and i am also fine by the grace of Allah.Today i am writting this contest on the topic of Learn More About Sugar!"Today I am happy to a take part of an exceptional competition organized by @oneray for such an wonderful contest and the community in which i will post the contest today is Healthy Steem.

So lets go to start my post,

"What is Sugar and What are its Main Types"

Sugar is the type of sweet substance that is provides energy to our bodies. It exists naturally in the foods like fruits and milk and it is also added to many processed foods and drinks to make them taste and sweet. There are several main types of sugar:

Sucrose:

This is the white granulated sugar we are commonly use at home and find in the desserts. It comes from sugarcane and sugar beets.

Glucose:

Often called blood sugar it is the primary source of energy for our bodies and it is found in fruits or vegetables and honey.

Fructose:

The sweetest in natural sugar found in fruits or vegetables and honey. It is processed by differently in the body compared to glucose.

Lactose:

The sugar in the milk and the dairy products can be made up of the glucose or galactose.

High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS):

As a sweetener made from the corn and starch commonly used in the sodas and the processed foods.

These sugars can affect our health so it is wise to balance how much we consume.

"What are the effects of excessive sugar consumption on health?"

Excessive sugar consumption can have several negative to effects on health:

Weight Gain:

Sugary foods and the drinks are a high in the calories in which it can be lead to the weight gain if they can consumed in the large amounts in regularly.

** The Increased Risk of Types 2 Diabetes:**

Consuming too much sugar can be cause insulin to the resistance where the bodies cells can do not respond properly to the insulin. This can be lead to the high blood sugar levels and they can eventually for to type 2 diabetes.

Dental Problems:

Sugary foods and the drinks can contribute tothe tooth that decay and cavities especially if the oral hygiene is not maintained.

Risk of the Heart Disease:

High sugar in the intake of it has been linked it to an increased in risk of the heart disease. It can be raise from the blood pressure and it increase inflammation and also can contribute to the unhealthy cholesterol levels.

Risk of Fatty Liver:

Consuming too much fructose that can found in the high amounts of the sugary drinks that can be lead it to the fatty liver disease.
To stay the healthy it is more important to the limit sugary foods and the drinks and it opt for the healthier alternatives like fruits or the vegetables and also the whole grains.

"What are some healthy alternative to refined sugar?"

Here are the some healthy alternatives to refined sugar:

Agave nectar:

Derived from the agave plant it is the sweeter than sugar and can be used in the moderation.

Brown rice syrup:

It Made from the brown rice it to has a mild sweetness and they can be used in the cooking and baking.

Molasses:

A byproduct of sugar cane can refining it is rich in vitamins and minerals like the iron and calcium.

Xylitol:

A sugar alcohol derived from the plants it has a similar sweetness to the sugar but fewer calories and does not raise blood sugar levels.

Fruit puree:

Mashed bananas or applesauce and other fruit purees can be add in natural sweetness and moisture to the recipes.

These alternatives provide can sweetness while also be offering additional nutrients and lower glycemic impact compared to the refined sugar.

"Is it necessary to consume some sugar? Explain your reason?"

Yes it is necessary to the consume some sugar for our bodies to function properly. Sugar in the form of the glucose is a vital source of energy that our cells need to it carry out everyday tasks. Glucose is the especially important for our brain which relies heavily on it for fuel. However it is important to consume sugar in the moderation and from natural the sources like fruits or vegetables and whole grains.

These foods provide not only the sugar but also essential for nutrients like fiber or vitamins and minerals. Excessive sugar can intake especially from added sugars in the processed foods and drinks can lead to health problems like the weight gain or diabetes and dental issues. Therefore it is balancing our sugar intake and can choosing healthier sources is key to maintaining the good health.

I now know sugar contribute to all this illness if in excessive.I don't wanna gain weight though or suffer incessantly of diabetes. Thanks for sharing this wonderful pace
