Hello steemians today I will be participating on @khursheedanwar contest titled Encephalitis and here is my opinion on this contest.

Share your knowledge about encephalitis ,it's symptoms,causes and treatment!

Encephalitis is a very serious condition which has to do with brain . And can lead to severe neurological complications. It can be born out of various causes such as infections, autoimmune responses and less common bacteria or fungal infection. And it is a very bad kind of disease that if it affects the brain it can do damage to it and other parts of the body.

Symptoms of Encephalitis

The symptoms of this illment varies time to time and there many kind of symptoms which include

• Fever
• Headache
• Fatigue

If the condition worsen more and more symptoms develop and they include

Disorientation or confusion
Change in behavior and personalities
Difficulty in speaking and in understanding
Stiff neck and weaknesses
Lose of movement in some certain parts of the body
Loss of consciousness

In some sever cases it could lead to death if not treated urgently or treated wrongly.b

Causes of Encephalitis

Herpes simplex virus HSV

This is one of the most frequent cause of encephalitis in mostly adults. It can damage the body system and can lead to certain complications if not treated urgently.

Mosquito-borne virus

This are type of virus that include west Nile virus and eastern equine encephalitis virus. They are transmitted through bites from insect and there are found in some certain geographical regions.

Treatment of encephalitis

This disease can be treated in different ways which include

Antiviral medications can help if a bacteria infection is suspected in the body , then antibiotics will be administered to the diagnosed person

Supportive care this include monitoring the signs providing intravenous fluids to help in preventing dehydration. Also using ventilator in needed in respiratory support

In conclusion to what I have said encephalitis is a complex condition which requires prompt care and treatment to help minimize the risks of death or sever outcome. And also antibiotics can help to prevent the disease from getting worse and can help to cure it.
