Hello dear friends! Well come to my post. How are you all? I hope you will be doing well by the grace of Almighty Allah. I'm also fine and enjoying my day. Today I'm here to participate in this amazing contest which is organized by @helengutier2 in this Healthy Steem community. The topic of this contest is about "Let's talk about allergies". So let's start without any more delay of time.

Are you allergic to any substance? Tell us which one?

My answer to this question is YES, I'm allergic to many substances including the dust, mites and fragrance of perfumes etc. But among them, the dust particles are the most common substances which cause allergies in me and leads towards different conditions like running nose, watery eyes, sneezing and itching etc. Whenever I travel towards dusty areas I suffer in dust allergy but sometimes, when even a small particles of dust enter in my body, through nose our mouth, the symptoms of allergies start appearing.

But, whenever I suffered in dust allergy, the symptoms like sneezing and running nose appear and they disappear after a few hours of taking anti allergic medicine. At first, I suffered in dust allergies, I was very worried and went to different ENT specialists to check myself and to know the cause of that allergies. After examining me, the doctor told me that you are suffering from dust allergies and stay away from dusty areas to avoid yourself from allergies.

How did you realize that you were allergic to that substance? What reactions or symptoms did you have?

When I got dust allergies for the first time, I was in school and a student of 7th class. I was totally unaware about allergies, their types, symptoms, causes and cure but my uncle took me to the doctor and after listing about the symptoms and examining, he told me about the dust allergies and how the dust particles enters in our body and cause allergies. Then, he gave me some medications and guidance to stay away from dust allergies. At that time, the following symptoms were appeared in me;

• A lot Sneezing
• Running Nose
• Watery eyes
• Sore throat
• Cough

How do you control an allergic attack?

The allergic attacks can be severe to moderate depending on the patient's condition and the factor which has caused allergy. But the severe allergic reaction can be dangerous as it is cause various complications in our bodies. The people take different steps to deal with the allergic attacks but in case of me, I do different things whenever I got a dust allergy. As we know, the dust allergies aren't dangerous as compared to other type of allergies due to that reason, it can be controlled easily. The things which I do to control an allergic attack are;

• First of all, I stay away from the dusty areas and the areas where the allergens are present.

• I always wear a face mask whenever I travel outside on bike or use any other way of traveling.

• Whenever a few symptoms of dust allergies appears in me, I take anti allergic or antihistamine tablets.

• If my nasal congested, I use nasal spray to open the nostrils so that I can breath peacefully.

• After taking the medicine, I take rest and fell asleep for about three hours so that the symptoms can disappear.

What do you commonly do to avoid coming into contact with the substance that causes your allergy?

Friends, as we the prevention is better than cure due to which, I always prioritize prevention to keep myself away from such substances which cause dust allergies in me. In this regard, I always wear a face mask to keep myself away from the contact of dust particles as the mask blocks the flow of these particles into the nose. Always I keep the antiallergic medicine in my pocket so that I can take them on time whenever I get dust allergies. Due to all these things, I can stay away from the allergies.
