Hello dear friends! Well come to my post. How are you all? I hope you will be doing well by the grace of Almighty. I'm also fine and enjoying my day. Today I'm here to participate in this amazing contest which is organized by @suboohi in this Healthy Steem community. The topic of this contest is about "Heartburn, causes and preventions". So let's start without any more delay of time.
What is heartburn? |

Heartburn, is a very common term used among the diseases of stomach. It occurs when the acid flows back to the esophagus which causes burning sensation in chest area. It is also known as acid reflux because the acid from the stomach flows back to the esophagus. When that condition occurs, it leads towards serious problems including, the vomiting, bitter taste of mouth and discomfort in chest area.
In some cases, the people go to bed right after eating food, so in that condition the stomach remain unable to perform his functions very well. In that condition, the sphincter, present at the lower of esophagus which closes after food enters the stomach. So in that condition, the sphincter can't close properly through which the acid can escape back to the esophagus cause heartburn.

There are many conditions, activities and things which can cause heartburn in the people of any age. But some prominent causes of heartburn are discussed below.
Overacting is one of the most common cause of heartburn because the people eat too much food at the same time which cause heartburn.
Eating of spicy foods, fast foods, the foods which contains fatty acid in larger quantity, increase the risk of heartburn in people.
Alcohol consumption, smoking and drinking can leads towards the heartburn and other gastrointestinal diseases.
The medical condition like pregnancy, infections in body and intake of drugs, increase the risks of heartburn.
The obese people and those who eat food right before going to bed, can easily get prone to heartburn.

The heartburn can be fatal if we left it without taking any medications and preventive measures. Then it leads towards other serious gastrointestinal tract diseases. Also its intensity may vary from person to person. So let's have a look at some important preventive measures regarding heartburn.
Always eat smaller and left a proper place in your stomach for food, water and for oxygen. That strategy will also prevent you from other disease.
Try to avoid such foods which trigger the chances of heartburn especially the food which contains fatty acids and spices in large quantity.
Don't sleep right after eating food, go for a walk and stay in upward position after eating food or going to sleep.
Also take the antacid tablets, syrups and capsules which will help you to maintain the acidity in stomach.
Reduce the consumption of alcohol and smoking to prevent yourself from diseases.
