Greetings beautiful Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

Around where we are in the USA, it's Memorial Day on Monday (known in some places as "Remembrance Day") so it's a bit of a holiday weekend. But it's also Saturday today, and that means Caturday!

Caturday is definitely my favorite day of the week, because it is all about CATS... and cats are the unofficial animal mascots of the Internet!

We've actually had "Caturday on Saturday" for quite a long time, going back to some of the earliest days of photo message boards.

Animal Blogs are Quite Popular!

I have my own blog here, of course... but there are lots of animal/pet blogs and vlogs around the web, starring anything from celebrity cats and dogs to otters, hedgehogs, parrots and many other creatures.

Currently, the Web's most celebrated cat is Maru, from Japan who has been charming followers for 13 years on YouTube, and recently celebrated his 15th birthday!

Some of Maru's YouTube videos have been viewed more than ten million times.

Of course, we are not that popular yet... but we plan to keep working on it!

For the time being, my main interest is just in sharing — and promoting — more pet content here on Steemit. Might not be able to do very much, but we've been at it for over four years with more than 400 posts!

At least we know we will have given it our best shot!

Create and Support Pet Content on Steemit!

If you are a pet lover, why not support pet related content on Steemit by posting some content with pictures and some stories about your own pets?

We are trying to revive the #dailypetphotography and #dpet tags on Steemit, which used to be very popular 3-4 years back! We can make them popular again... I know there are many pet lovers here!

All you have to do is take that first step and post something!
