Curator Cat: Final Caturday of August and the Weather is Changing!

Greetings fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

Welcome to the weekend, and therewith welcome to another Caturday update from Shadow (Curator Cat) and Smudge! Caturday is — as you might have guessed by now — my favorite day of the week!

Is it playtime??

It is still summer around our part of the world, but we can already tell that the days are getting shorter, and the afternoon sun is not quite as warm as it used to be.

Even Smudge — who is very fuzzy and long haired — has moved back to her warm blanket after sleeping much of the summer away on a cool wooden table.

It's hard to believe that in just a few days we will already be 2/3 of the way through 2022!

It hasn't exactly been a good year in the Cryptosphere. Steem was $0.43 at the beginning of the year, and now we are staring at $0.22 — not exactly cheerful!

Will I make my goal of reaching 2,000 SteemPower by the end of the year? Only time will tell... I still have 334SP to go to get there, so it won't be easy. But I shall keep plugging away at it.

What's New With Steemit?

Way back in my early days here, we used to ask that question a lot, hoping that some kind of new development might be taking place... sadly, we were mostly disappointing.

Now it's 2022, and I'm not sure I can remember the last time I saw any kind of official announcement that something new was happing on the site, itself. Almost feels like deja-vu!

Well, it's not my place to complain too much... I'll just keep posting, as best I can!

Create and Support Pet Content on Steemit!

If you are a pet lover, why not support pet related content on Steemit by posting some content with pictures and some stories about your own pets? Steemit has no less than eight pet communities with more than 1,500 subscribers... and yet nobody's posting pet content. Why?

We are trying to revive the #dailypetphotography and #dpet tags on Steemit, which used to be very popular 3-4 years back! We can make them popular again... I know there must be many pet lovers here!
