Birthday Time: Curator Cat Turns 8 Years Old Today!
Greetings, Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!
Today — St. Patrick's Day, March 17th — was Shadow's 8th Birthday! OK, so you know him better as "Curator Cat," but it's the same Feline friend!
The day was observed with excellent quality naps in the sunshine, and extra kitty treats!
That sun sure is nice and toasty warm!
Shadow joined us as a tiny kitten in May of 2016. He and his litter mates had been dropped off at the local animal shelter by a lady who had found an abandoned cardboard box of kittens in the woods to the side of a busy road.
It's really heartless and horrible how some people treat defenseless animals!
Anyway, the little black kitten with the short bobbed tail found his "forever home" and everybody has been very happy with the arrangement!
About 9 weeks old, shortly after he was adopted!
Shadow had a difficult start. He was not in the best of health when he first came home... and had to go back to the vet within a week because he had caught some kind of virus at the shelter... and almost died.
But some medicine and a lot of loving care helped him turn the corner... and he regained his strength and soon became a happy member of the household!

Woo-hoo, Steemit is Working Again!
Meanwhile, it's really nice to see Steemit working properly again! Very grateful to the hard working developers and witnesses who managed to fix the bugs that have been troubling everyone for the past month or so!
With the crypto word seemingly on the upswing, it would only seem likely that more new people would be joining the community, so it's extra important that Steemit be able to "put its best foot forward" for any new arrivals. It's wouldn't be a very good show to have new users show up, only to find a broken web site!
So thanks for the fix!

Anyway, Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone, and many thanks and gratitude to those who have supported the Curator Cat blog over the past six years!
Hopefully we can continue to do this for many more years!
