It is another year again and another time to celebrate ourselves, the women around us and the women of the world. This year is themed; “Invest in women: Accelerate progress.”. Which is to point out the value of investing in women as she will Futher use that to educate others and create a better future as she shapes and organises the leaders of tomorrow starting from her home and immediate environment.

women are everything they think they are and even much more. Women are the main biological source of life. The ones that waters these lives garden. Women are just so special in every way, we are also the flowers of the world, as we beautify it with the mini versions of everyone.

As a woman and a mother I must say women are sacrificial being, they can let go of everything and make their family their everything. A woman knows getting pregnant will delay or hinder her goals and aspirations but still, she will choose to carry her babies and let goals wait for a later future.

🌹 Labour Pains 🌹

We go through so much pains during pregnancy and worst pains during delivery, with many women having scars from C- sections bringing their babies to the world. A woman will still try to ignore the pains felt and go on the journey again for another child, just because she doesn't want the first child to be without a sibling.

🌹 Despite it all 🌹

Women are great, women are the bonds that holds the family. We might get tired and exhausted over many things in life, we might face disappointments or be disappointed over a child's choice but we never stop loving and caring for our children. We never give up on our children.

🌹 Defender 🌹

While growing up I can remember a saying, that goes thus: when a child is good it is the father's child but, when the child is bad, it is the mother's child. That saying use to irritate me and make me wonder why? I grew up in the police barracks with children, teenagers and young adult living their lives a bit recklessly.

I saw their father's shoving them aside, like a dangerous plague or even a dangerous communicable disease. There was a time, I heard a father refer to his child as "that your child". While addressing the mom(his wife) he said "That your child......
Which the mom immediately replied saying; yes he is my child, what did he do?.

March 8, is a special day for all of us to remember the strength and the sacrifices of all the women, all over the world and take out time to appreciate them and encourage them. Sending loving words when gifts seems expensive, a lovely text messages or even a lovely written note enveloped like a letter, send a simple card, or send a baked cookies or a cake or even a bowl of salad, just make those women around you feel appreciated and remembered.
