Today I wanted to bring you a summer story and also what is the conclusion from that story. Last few days it is quite hot in Europe and also in Scotland. Over here we have quite mild summer and it is about +19C to +20C and that is the hottest temperature in summer. Last few days it is becoming hotter and hotter.
For families and children that is the best time to be outside and for many it is normal that without strong summer we barely using sun cream. That is why this time we also did not think about that as although it was nice blue sky it was cool wind from sea, that is why it was not obvious that it is strong sun and our skin and heads are exposed to sun.
Me and my friends went to coast and decided to have a nice picnic, of course, we did not think about hats and no sun cream was taken with us. We arrived about midday and after few hours of being under sun, my friend felt headache and nauseous. Initially we thought that this is food and after drinking plenty it should be fine, but it was wrong. Next hour our friend was really sick and all food was already out of stomach, despite of that she still had persistent nausea and headache, so that we went to hospital.
After having some simple tests, it was clear that there was nothing serious and when we told that we spent so much time outside without covering our heads it was clear that is was a sunstroke. After rehydration and some pain relief my friend was allowed home.
For me it is now clear no matter how cool it is but if we are on sun for many hours we definitely will cover our head.
I would like to invite @saimaqasim, @joan-na and @uzma4882 for this contest
Thank you for supporting my post :)
Thank you for reading my post and for the support :)
It was uncommon experience. I believe you all know now how to self guard yourself from the sun/ cool whatsoever. I believe you are safe now.
Yes, you are right if one has had such experience once then will never forget it :)
Thank you for inviting me. Your story reminded me of my childhood days when I used to play under the sun. Good luck to you.
I am pleased to know that you had the same feeling reading the story, it just makes me think that all the children are the same :)
