Winter fuel cost cut

 

There are some good things in what the governments of our countries do for people and there are some bad things. In the past there were many supportive measurements for people and governments of our countries had better financial situation. Recently it is almost everywhere that we hear that there is not enough money and tight budgets and if some things were there good for us we see time to time that those things are removed.

In UK pensioners had financial support for the costs for heating, that help is called winter fuel cost support and it was for all the pensioners. Understandably there are some pensioners who did have good jobs and they have enough money to enjoy their retirement.

Still we all know that now all pensioners have good pension, they also need to pay sometimes rent for their houses, taxes and understandably they need to pay for electricity, heating and so on.

Since a new government came to power they see a lot of debts in budget and try to fill the gaps and cutting some expenses.

When recently it was announced that the financial help for the pensioners for winter fuel cost will be removed, that only means that about 10 millions pensioners will have no winter fuel support. Understandably, it is still possible to be considered for winter cost support but for that those people should submit their documents for that. For many for this winter it is too short notice because normally the payments it done in November that means this time it is too late for those people.

There are a lot of discussion about those people, against vulnerable elderly people will suffer form that and maybe because they are not like young people who probably would go on street and demonstrate but those people will be sitting at home and try to save their coins and suffer alone.

From my friend I know that they decided to help their neighbour who lives alone and actually very tough elderly and often looks after the children of my friend, that is why she decided to help our with preparing the paper work for her and submitted them for that winter fuel support. I hope that many of people who notice their neighbours or relatives also will try to help out to get everything done in time.

The government even with saving this amount of expenses still might require more cuts who knows what will be next?
