Lunch From A New Restaurant

It's an off day for hubby. Usually, when hubby is home I love cooking meals at home. Today is a bit busy day as I had a few critical works to do. So it was lunchtime when we finished the job. We decided to have our lunch out for a change.

This place is right in front of Moratuwa University, It is very close to my home but I never tried their food. Few years back there were a Restaurant named "Royal" in the same place. I feel they have changed their concept or its removed. It was just like the Banana Leaf (The restaurant I visit more often). Serving food in buffet style. They had normal Rice and Curry, Yellow Rice and curry, and Special Biriyani. They had a variety of Sri Lankan food to satisfy all customers needs.

They also had a delivery service apart from Uber eats or Pickeme. It's very cheap and I think it's very helpful for university students during exam days. I haven't tried this delivery before, it was good to know that there is another delivery service available in our area.

On the left corner, they had three types of Rice - Red/ White, and Yellow. Followed by meat items Pork Curry, Chicken Curry, Fish curry, and Egg Omelet.

Then there were a variety of Sri Lankan dishes that we all love to have. It was a hard choice everything looked delicious. They arranged all dishes in clay pots which were very eye catchy and mouth-watering. The presentation of food, I would score it 10/10.

Then there was a special Biriyani menu, It looked good too! We were in trouble deciding what to take. Finally, we couldn't resist going for Sri Lankan rice and curry.

They had both dine-in and takeaway, The sitting area looked a bit congested but it was all clean and tidy. Some uni students were dining in so I missed taking pictures.

All prices are mentioned in front, so there are no confusions. The prices are less compared to other restaurants. They serve food in two portions, half and full. They had also given the option to choose three vegetables or five vegetables. I think it's a great option for anybody who wishes to have more curries in their food.

This is the waiting area. The restaurant is not much spacious but they have planned the limited space very well . I liked how they have designed the interior. It's nature friendly and serene.

This is what we ordered, we chose three vegetables and chicken. The taste was not bad, but it wasn't what I expected. I would like to give it 7/10. It was worth trying!
