SEC16 W6: “My photo album as a woman"
Good afternoon my beautiful ladies and a happy new week to you all, I trust you are doing great. I'm so glad to participate in this season 16 week 6 engagement challenge on the topic "my photo album as a woman"
It is an amazing topic to engage on because photos are for memories and women love taking pictures and I am not exempted. Maybe some of us do not take this life so serious, sometimes we have to loosen up a bit to flow and enjoy the moment and that would prompt us to take pictures just for memories. They say "problems no dey finish"(problems doesn't finish).
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything."
---Aaron Siskind.
I have a lot of photos to share from my album but for the purpose of this contest, we are asked to share just 5.
My Photo 1:
That's me in the middle
I hold the memory of this picture very dear to my heart because the story behind this photo has really helped in shaping my life.
This picture was taken way back in 2018 when I went for my National youth service Corp (NYSC) in Kwara state. Kwara state is one of the states in my country Nigeria. Back to my story, NYSC is a scheme for every graduates in my country, where the youths are deployed to different states after their tertiary institution to serve the country for a period of one year.
In the course of the program, three weeks would be used for orientation camp, where we camped in a secluded area for three weeks to go through some activities.
And one of the activities is what you see in the picture. It is called Carnival. Oh it was really a fun filled activity where we were all masked and dressed in different costumes. It was a program that birthed out different cultural display and it was so beautiful a sight to behold.
Photo 2:
This photo was taken last year August
This picture was taken during a workshop organized by Filling the Gaps Educational Services sponsored by timGREEN Resources Limited for all the teachers in the 31 local government areas in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. And I was one of the facilitator.
Self-development is very crucial to an individual, because it will expose you to new ideas, skills and experiences that would aid in your personal growth. For instance; that was my first time having to dealt with so many people at the same time. So that has helped me learn the act of multitasking, public speaking, patience and so on, and that workshop has really helped in building my capacity and also broaden my scope.
Sitting under the tutolage of great minds, getting impacted on is a rare privilege and I'm glad I was able to maximized the opportunity very well.
My Photo 3:
Me 👆first from the left
That's my pastor in the photo 👆still in the course of the rally
That photo was taken on Nov 26, 2023 against our home coming convention that spanned through 29th Nov to 3rd of Dec 2023, and the theme was: God of Wonders. So we went out for the rally, that's to create awareness and informed the people about the program and to also invite them to come fellowship with us.
Just as Jesus said in the book of 2 Corinthians 5:20 that we are His ambassador, that means we are bound to represent God here on earth.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

So we all went out en mass for the rally and it was a life changing experience to the glory of God.
My Photo 4:
This was taken in one of our services in Oct 27, 2023 during our angelic service where everybody were instructed to dressed in all white, oh my God! It was a sight to behold and I was right at my duty post doing a back up to the praise singer, fulfilling my vows that is in the book of Psalms 34: 1
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
I'm always so excited whenever the opportunity presented itself for me to render services in the house of God. I see it as an honour and a privilege even if I'm not a professional but my heart of service count.
Photo 5 as the last:
That's me and one of my senior steemit friend @mesola. The photo was taken on Dec 15, 2023 during the biggest Christmas carol night in my state(Akwa Ibom state). It was a service organized by the State government by creating a platform for all the christians to assembled together in one accord to worship and praise God. It was a soul lifting service.
So many personalities and gospel artists graced the event.
One of the personality was the state governor; Pastor Umo Eno and his entourage.
Gospel singers were in the persons of...
Mercy Chinkwo
Moses Bliss
Davisol Brothers
Ity Dennis and so many others and of course;
All the different mass choirs in different churches in the state were in attendance.
Before now, foreign artists were also paid heavily to come and performed but our present governor decided to promote only the indigenous artists by bringing only them onboard which I loved the idea. Because it will bring about oneness, unity and also encourage the upcoming artist that they can do more.
All photos are from my phone
Best Regards

One of the fun sides of the NYSC is the carnival and it was fun back then. It is one of the few moments you enjoy the privilege to style yourself anyhow you want, enjoying a brief freedom from the hands of the usual camp uniform. It's all written to you all that you were having a great time at that moment.
You have shared beautiful moments in this today, no doubt. And I wish you the best.
Thank you dear for stopping by and your wishes
Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.
You're welcome
You've got beautiful memories here.
I was just imagining the sight of the church on that angelic service.
It would be all white and that's angalic indeed.
I think Akwaibom is the only state in Nigeria that use to organize a general all state service and even carnival.
You guys are just enjoying yourselves over there.
I wish you success in your entry.
