SEC13 WK4: "Shopping Spree!"

Greetings to you steemit family. Welcome to my blog and my insights on the topic Shopping Spree.

Shopping spree happens to the duration of time which someone gets to buy numerous items. It is an activity which is done by all, I mean every human being. No one can say he or she has never gone shopping even once. It is always an exciting activity as I have seen from the expression of many people

Who does the shopping in your household? Why?

Shopping in my home is mostly done my all females in my house and I happen to be the most active participant. Growing up from childhood I watched my mother and sisters do the shopping for the house. I felt very anxious and excited to do until I was big enough to handle the task. I love shopping and many times especially on Saturdays my mother and I joinly go to the market to get stuffs for the house. Talking about shopping I am just coming back from the market for the week's shopping.

From observation and evaluation, shopping is mostly done my women in the house while the boys stay at home doing nothing or entertain themselves with a game.

Are you a “shopper” or a “buyer”? Explain

No no no...... I am not a shopper rather a 100% buyer. Before going to the market I know what to buy, where to buy and price so I don't waste time. Although sometimes I will stroll through some shops to check on some items out of my market list when I have the time and money.

Who do you think finds the best bargains, men or women?

For my point of view women make the best bargain than men. This is one of the reasons why women are the best managers of a home. For example, if you give a girl and a boy $1000 each with a list of things to buy from the market they will never bring the same quantity of items to the house. The girl will definitely bring more or a balance while the guy will not. He won't be patient enough to bargain the price than the girl.

This is certainly true although I have seen some ladies who don't have good bargaining power and patience. Also I have seen men like grandfather and my fiance with good bargaining power too so some men are good at it. Nevertheless women are better off than men

What do you prefer? Brand or service? Give your reasons.

When it comes to these two I go first for services and then brand. There are business persons who have a good customer service who sell more than those with over stylish brands. What sells for this person is his service before his brand. Someone like me I won't buy from you if your services are very poor rather I will go to someone who has what I need though not the same or best quality but good services. There I can spend all my money with a broad smile on my face.

There's a lady in my village who sells perishable and non perishable food stuff in the market. This lady makes a lot of money because of her customer services. She has set a price strategy of selling lesser than the price which everyone sells and increased the quantity of items especially for perishable items. She makes a of money as she sells quickly, has a quick turnover and little or no deterioration of her items. Many says she is using witchcraft to sell but that's get strategy. Many sell products of quality like her but at a higher price to lesser customers. Sometimes they don't break even as the products deteriorates in storage.

Lastly, show us what you bought on your latest shopping spree.

Talking about shopping, I am just from the market to get some items for the house and to visit my sister in the boarding house tomorrow.

This is the best thing I bought today from the market; a traditional kola in my village known as ANKOB. It has a high value in my village and you will be highly appreciated and praised when you offer this to someone. I can remember how we would go into the rafia forest behind our house in search of it and sometimes we would meet dangerous snakes in the forest.

If you've never gone for a shopping event I will say you're missing an additional spice in your life. Go out there a do shopping. It is fun doing it it.
