Hello guys, welcome to the week 3 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 9. I welcome you all to a new beautiful month, may we all have tangible reasons to laugh and celebrate this month.
In this week's edition of the Challenge from Steem For Ladies Community, we are to talk about Woman, who she is and the role she plays in the society. If you missed the contest post, you can have it here.
Over the years, women had been neglected and restricted from getting involved in playing some unique roles in the society. But as time evolves and development kept setting in, a lot of women started breaking off from those restrictions. And started doing amazingly beautiful in different fields that was assumed women are not supposed to explore.
What does the word "Woman" mean to you?
A woman is not just another gender that is feminine in nature. There is more to being a woman than just being feminine.
The word "Woman" is all about identity. Being a woman is to realize whom you are and walk in that knowledge. Being a woman is about discovering and exploring the capabilities deposited inside of you and being the best of you regardless of the view of others or the society about you.
Do you think that women are born only to be housewives?
Nope!! I don't think women are born only to be house wives. Women have great potentials and capabilities upstairs. Being just a house wife is a waste of resources that God has deposited inside of the woman. A lot of women has lots of potentials undiscovered because they had been confined under the mindset of being a house wife as a woman.
I believe every woman has something to offer to the society. No one is a desert as long as destiny and knowledge is concern. There is something unique about every woman on earth, the only difference is discovery. If a woman is able to discover herself and her capabilities, she wouldn't settle for just a house wife. Even her husband and household will Support her effort.
What is the role of a woman in your society?
Before now women in Nigeria were constrained in the confinement of just house wives. Later they graduated to being farmers and small business owners with the intention to help in the advancement of the family.
But today, the 21st century Nigerian women are exploring lots of career opportunities.
Education, entrepreneurship, medical, politics, religion etc.
With the level of exposure that so many women has gotten, it had helped them in their relationships, family management and contribution to the society at large.
The women are supportive, good advisers and good strategist in my society.
Who are the most important women in your life? You can tell us about your wife, your mother, your aunt, your niece, your girlfriend, or even your sister-in-law.
The most important woman in my life is my mum.
My mum is one woman that don't give up at any point in time. She is so resilience. She is very strong. A business woman and a farmer at the same time. She had been able to carry and keep the family since the demise of my dad. Most times I envy her strength, I do ask myself sometimes if I can be as strong as she is inwardly.
Conclusion
The abilities and capabilities of women if well developed cannot be over emphasized. One major important thing every woman is meant to do is to discover themselves and be the best they can. If every woman discovers herself, our uniqueness will be seen and appreciated.

Women are unique and ought to be appreciated at all level. It is true that most women does not know they have potentials and they allow others mess around with them.
Women are now seen as head in most affairs of life because our uniqueness and potentials are now appreciated.

Woman! A special breed created differently by God. As a matter of fact, everything about women is special...speaks perfect!
Just as you said, discovery is the back bone to whatever any woman can achieve in this life. It's a taboo and the highest degradation of anyone to think that women are made just to be a housewife.
It was once believed that all training of any woman ends in the kitchen but thank God the world now knows better...every woman deserves to be appreciated for her unique potential(s).

Hello dear friend, your publication is very beautiful, always giving it the value that women deserve, how beautiful to see that the important woman in your life is your mother and how could she not be if she was the one who gave us being, she has formed us since we we were born, he takes care of us despite not being children with the same unconditional love, I agree with you the most important woman in my life will always be my mother.
