What is the city where you live and what country does it belong to?

I lives in mardan city in Pakistan it is locates in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Mardan is one of the major city in the province and holds greats cultural and historical significances the city is well connected to other parts of the country and has a mix of modern and traditional lifestyles.

Tell us what your economy is based on?

The economy of Mardan is mainly based on agriculture many peoples here grow crops like wheat sugarcane maize and vegetables. Apart from agricultures there are also several industries including textiles factories and sugar mills that provided jobs to many people in the areas. Small businesses and shops also plays an important role in the local economy serving the communitys daily needs.

Mardan has several beautiful and historic places for tourists. One of the most famous sites is the Takht a Bahi Buddhist monastery a UNESCO World Heritages Site. It attracted visitors from all over the world because of its historical importance and uniques architecture. Another popular place is the Bacha Khan Monument dedicated to a famous leader. The city also has lovely parks and green areas where families come to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.

Yes Mardan is my hometown. I have lives here all my life and i have a deep connected to this place the peoples are warm and friendly and it is always a joy to be part of this close knit community.

What are the most important celebrations? Share with us what is the typical food of your city?

In Mardan the most importants celebrations are Eid ul fitr and Eid ul adha. These Islamic festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm. People wear new clothes visit their relatives and enjoy special meals together. Another important events is the Pashtun culture festival where traditional dances and songs are performs the typical food in Mardan includes chapli kebabs which are spicy and delicious patties made of minced meat peoples also love dishes like saag and rice which are a part of everyday meals.

Mardan produces wheat maize and sugarcane on a large scale. These crops are essential for both local consumption and trade. Many families rely on farmings and during the harvest season you can see fields full of these crops the city also produced a variety of fruits and vegetables.

Mardan has a moderated climate with hot summers and mild winters in summers temperatures can go quite high reaching up to 40°C while in winter it becomes cooler but rarely drops below freezing. The city experiences a monsoon season as well with moderate rainfall.
