The Diary Game – #11: Share your day with us!

Hello steemians

I want to talk about a day I will never forget, is a day I fully stopped my first job after graduating from secondary school. So many people are jobless now because of the development government wants to do in our road. The government has decided to demolish all the buildings close to our road because he wants to expand the road. The buildings that will be demolished were marked one month ago. I wish to talk about the 16th of October 2023.

Morning activities

On Monday I went to the place I used to work so that I can open the shop for my boss and some men that will carry his goods such as furnitures. The landlord wants to remove his zinc and other things before the demolition will start so he told all the people doing business in the 5 joined shops he built to carry their things that he's leaving. I wasn't happy at all because I will start to look for another job.

In the morning most of the furnitures were carried away and some were left because they couldn't contain the Van that was brought. I was present in the shop because my instructed me to stay till everything is almost done. A young man came and began to remove all the switch and lampholder in the shops. So many people have already abandoned the building of their shops and started afresh in another area.

Afternoon activities

In the afternoon after going to eat lunch, I came back and the Van arrived again to carry the remaining furnitures. I took pictures of myself that afternoon and forced myself to smile because I can't be wearing a bad look, everything happens for a reason and I believe I will get a more better job soon.

Another man came to remove the protected in the building because the landlord also wants to take it away. Removing that strong and heavy protector wasn't an easy job at all as alot of tools and time were required. The man made used of almost all his energy to remove the protector. I just watched in disbelief and take many pictures. It was quite fun experiencing the demolition.

Evening activities

In the evening everything was done in our shop and the other shops were yet to be demolished and it wasn't my boss business because he's done parking. My boss told me to go home after thanking me for the job I rendered for one month, he told me to send him my bank account details on Whatsapp that he will transfer my salary that night. I was on my way home when I took a picture of a car moving fast on the busy road.

I arrived home and gave my parents the information my boss gave me and I transferred the details and waited for the alert. I waited for alert and I was happy when I saw it one hour later, my first salary just arrived that day and I was quite joyous. I slept with joy that night and also began to think of my next plan.
