RE: Tell your story #32-- My country and the systems I have come to witness
It has always been a normal situation in Nigeria, the person alot of people will vote won't become the winner. The bad leaders are currently happy and enjoying power but they don't know that nothing lasts forever.
You voted for someone and the opposite became the winner when it was obvious that alot of people voted the same person you voted. This has been happening for long and I pray it ends someday.
Am happy with the fact that you haven't given up on voting, you still believe your vote counts no matter what and that's true.
Political apathy is very wrong, even if there are many reasons for us to give up in casting our votes, let's still voting and praying for the country to be better. While in high school I learnt alot about political apathy in civic education, the meaning, it's forms and reasons people engage in political apathy. I wish you good luck in this contest and happy new month. 💜🇳🇬
We're taught these things in school, but having an experience is a whole different energy.
I pray we get to improve this idea of the system we practice. Every successful nation prays for this, and there's hope for us too.
Thanks for sharing, @saintkelvin17.
A blessed new month to you.
Yeah an experience related to it is totally different and heartfelt. Yup there's definitely hope for us, we just need to believe and always do what's right.
