It is Women’s Day!

In life, be it male or female, we all have come through a woman, and therefore we are and will always be surrounded by women in one way or the other, with some holding special places in our hearts no matter what.
In my life, I have been fortunate to be surrounded by incredible women who have had a profound impact on me. From the unconditional love and support of my mom to the bond and friendship with my sisters, and hopefully the partnership and companionship of my wife someday.

In all situations, these women have helped shape me into who I am today, and I know this is not just me but everyone alive today. Therefore it only makes perfect sense that we celebrate them and make them feel celebrated as well.
To get the full gist of why we need to celebrate the women in our lives, we first need to know what it takes to be a woman in the first place, that way we can accord them all the respect and love they deserve from us.

For me, the first thing I see when I look at a woman is strength as women are known to possess an incredible amount of strength that allows them to not only face various challenges head-on but also to overcome them.
I have also come to learn that every woman has their unique qualities as every woman is different, and thus has her unique qualities, talents, passions, and perspective of things, just as every woman's face is different. Therefore, it is all about us recognizing and celebrating them for their unique individual traits.

Another lesson I have also learned is that women have such a remarkable capability to inspire and nurture everyone around them. Whether this be as mothers, sisters, friends, or mentors, women are naturally gifted to support and uplift those around them fostering meaningful connections, offering guidance, and being a source of strength for others.
The biggest blessing I see in women around me is their ability to navigate the complexities of life with grace and resilience, doing so while also balancing multiple roles and responsibilities, such as being a career woman, a caregiver, a life partner, and many more. Women are indeed a blessing as they juggle all these various aspects of life without complaints and also maintain a sense of self-fulfillment, while also having the courage to pursue their own dreams and aspirations. Indeed, women are super-humans and need to be celebrated.

Therefore, celebrating the women around us for me is all about appreciating and honoring their achievements, different qualities, and contributions.
And we can show our support by acknowledging their various accomplishments no matter how small or insignificant they may seem, listening to their stories, and recognizing their various super strengths.

We can celebrate the women around us by uplifting their voices, advocating for their rights, and promoting gender equality anywhere we find ourselves, as they are as important, if not more than men. Remember there is a saying that reads "What a man can do, a woman can do better" and we can take examples from the nations in which women are seen and given equal rights as men.
Last, we can celebrate the women around us by encouraging them, giving them the respect they deserve, and equal opportunities for growth as given to men as they are nation builders. It is therefore very important that we create a safe and inclusive environment where our women can also thrive and feel empowered.

Dear friend you said women's day for you is about honoring women for their achievements, virtues and contributions. If every one had taken a pledge through women's day that they would not allow women to be harassed again and acted on it then surely the situation would have been much better now. Currently, many countries have patriarchal governments that do not allow women to move freely, such as the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, which has taken a terrible form for women. However, from this point of view, our Bangladesh government is working on equal rights for men and women and many private organizations are getting involved in it. I hope your country's government and various organizations are doing a lot for women. The respect you have for women is evident through this post. You're absolutely right. If everyone made a commitment on Women's Day to stand against harassment and actually took action, things would be so much better. It's sad to hear about countries with patriarchal governments restricting women's freedom, like the situation in Afghanistan. But hey, it's great to know that your Bangladesh government is working towards equal rights for men and women, with private organizations getting involved too. Women's power has been able to take a permanent place in the minds of people. Unique in form, quality, efficiency and endurance, women are the reservoir of all power; Creator of mankind. As the saying goes, 'He who cooks also binds his hair'. A woman can handle everything at home-outside alone without anyone's help. Women are no longer behind in modern society. In education, authority, virtue, means shoulder to shoulder with men in all fields, women today have proved that they are not inferior in any respect.
