Definition of a home

A home is a dwelling place where an individual lives. It a place that provides accomodation, comfort and sense of belonging to an individual. In a home, an individual feel loved, safe, protected and comfortable.

• Sense of belonging
  We always feel important, safe and special in our homes. We are treated like kings in our home.

• Love

  Individual are usually loved and adorned in their home, despite their shortcomings. The home provides emotional stability for it's members.

• Memories
  The home is a place we create lots of memories right from childhood, and these memories helped to shape us into who we're.

• Security and safety
  The home provides shelter, safety and security for people. Even when the whole world is against us, we always feel safe and secure in our home.

• Relationship with people
  The home we grew up reflects on our relationship with other people.

• Reflection of values
  The value and belief we display in the outside World shows the kind of home we come from.

• Privacy
  The home is our private and personal space.

Physical features of a home

• Size of the home
  The home can be big or small depending on what the family wants, it is usually made up of sitting room, bedroom kitchen, bathroom, Toilet and Corridors.

• Layout
  This refers to the arrangement of the rooms and stuffs in the home.

• Interior decorations
  This refers to how the home was decorated.

Importance of home to an individual

The role the home plays in our lives as numerous, some of them includes.

• Emotional support
  The home provides emotional understanding and support to people. Most times when things go wrong and everyone is judging you, we usually come back home because we know that our family we always have our back.

• Love and care
  The people who genuinely loves us are usually from our home.

• Overall wellbeing
  A good and peaceful home helps to promote overall general well-being.

• Family bonding
  The home creates opportunity for us to bond with our family members.

Importance of a home in the Society

• Socialization
  The home is the first socialization place of a child. Every individual learnt how to talk, walk, interact with people and how to eat from the home. Every character we exhibit outside is mostly what we learnt from the home. Infact the home helps to shape us into who we're.

• Education and learning
  A home can serve as a place of learning, where by children learn from their parents and older siblings.

• Culture promotion
  Individual usually shows the cultural heritage and tradition they learn from home.

• Building blocks
  The home serve as a building block in the society because every individual comes from a home.

• Social Morales
  The societa Morales are taught to a child in the homes and they grow up to uphold.

Finally, the home is an integral place of an individual which helps to mold people into the person they're.
