Dear Diary,

Today is Friday, the weekend. So everyone is at home today. My brother cut down the Malabar Spinach planted in our yard. My mother was upset to see this but later realized the condition of the plant that it was better to cut it down. I collect some Malna spinach leaves. While collecting the leaves I see many seeds. Some seeds are ripe and some are raw. It was planted many months ago so no green leaves were growing here. My relative and me separate the fresh leaves from the plant and select the ones that are not edible.

I see a gourd in our gourd plant. None of us could see the lute as it was hidden behind the leaves. Today we collect it from the plant soon as we see it. The gourd of this plant is very tasty to eat although I have never eaten it before. My brother said it tastes great.

Then my mother collected some red chillies from our chilli plant and let them dry in the sun. Along with chilies, some Malabar Spinach ripe seeds that can be stored for later planting. To save the seeds of any crops and grains, the seeds should be dried in the sun and then stored. If you want to store it without drying it in the sun, it will rot.

Then I go to a vegetable field near my house. It was noon and sunny day so the sky was bright and blue. In the picture you can see an onion field. These crop fields are not ours, they are cultivated by our neighbors. I went there and took pictures of onion fields. I love the vast crop fields with only green and green crops all around. Crop fields look more beautiful especially in winter when there are lots of vegetables grown.

In the afternoon, my brother went to a local market in our village. From there he bought a pair of pigeons. I have eaten pigeons before but did not know about such a traditional method of carrying pigeons. A cage is made with the bark of a banana tree, and bamboo slats are placed on it so that the pigeons cannot fly away.

My brother buys some vegetables from the market which include potato, eggplant, tomato, onion, milk and fish. The fish was quite big. I took pictures to share with you.

The main attraction of every village is the domesticated animals and birds. Almost every household in the village keeps animals. Although we do not keep any animals in our house, all our neighbors keep animals especially cows, goats, ducks and chickens. In the afternoon, I photographed our neighbors' domestic cows in front of their house. From there I went to the mustard field and took pictures of yellow mustard flowers.

The moon was shining in the afternoon sky. In the evening I drink a cup of tea. After drinking tea my sister in law let me eat marsh mallow. Marsh mallow is my favorite food but I saw in an article that marsh mallow is not halal food. As a Muslim we should eat only Halal food. But seeing the Halal logo on this Marsh Mallow packet, I ate it.

In the night, an Islamic conference was held in our village. A small fair was held around that conference. There were various food stalls in the fair. I went there at night and had shrimp chops. I like to eat it. There were various children's toy shops. I bought a balloon for my niece. Here a balloon was selling for 20 BDT or about 1 steem. I bought a balloon. There were many betel leaf shops in that fair. I also bought sweet betel leaves.
