The Diary Post | What a crazy day! 18.04.23

Hi there!
My dearest diary!
We all get those crazy days when we cannot wait to put our heads on our pillows at the end of the day, sigh in relief, and close our eyes. And was my relief huge last night!
Let me start right at the beginning…
RISE AND SHINE
As I had guests checking out on Monday after a 5-day stay and the domestic worker not rocking up for work I had to get up very early to carry on with the cleaning. I had to make sure that the unit is clean for the next guests.
I was awake just after 3 and after a cup of tea and my morning devotion, I was ready for the day.
As I like to work on Steemit while the family is still sleeping I decided to first look at what is happening before I started my duties as “home executive.” I had over 100 notifications and there were plenty of engagement contest entries on Steem For Ladies. I had to jump in and help.
In between helping on Steemit I had to open and close bookings for the chalet on the various platforms, update the Facebook page and answer emails.
When we opened the chalet we decided to make it pet-friendly. Very few holiday apartments in our area are pet friendly and as you can now fly your small cat or dog with you in the cabin I saw the opportunity for a niche market.
We had our first pet guest and since I posted it on Facebook the inquiries are crazy. People are now booking for December.
EARLY MORNING
I couldn’t believe it when I saw that it was nearly 6:30. It was time to make breakfast and pack lunch boxes.
My eyes caught a glimpse of the news on the television when I took my husband his morning coffee.
No ways! An AI news presenter. This is crazy!
According to Kuwait News, they are testing for “new and innovative content.” How it can be new and innovative content I truly don’t know. I might be surprised one day.
It seems that Goldman Sachs (and investment bank) might be right that 300 Million jobs can be in jeopardy.
As Divan, my stepson was not feeling well I decided that I will rather take him to school in the car.
Back from school and my domestic worker was standing at the gate! I could have kissed her so happy I was that she came. Between the two of us, we could get the chalet ready and clean the house.
It was time to get back on Steemit.
MOM’S TAXI IS ON THE MOVE
Just before lunchtime, I received a message from Divan’s teacher. He is not feeling well… he is hungry and can I take some food for him. Gosh! He is staying after school as it is rugby trials and he wants to take part even though he is sick. Another lunch box, in my car, and off to school.
Back home I received a message that the medicine I’d been waiting for was delivered. Back in the car and off I go yet again.
Pudo, a new parcel delivery method was introduced to us during COVID-19. It is a very smart system as there is no interaction between people. Parcels are deposited and picked up via a locker system.
How it works is that you buy “Moola” online and book the delivery of the parcel from your closest locker from where it will be picked up and delivered to the locker you have chosen as the destination. You will be provided with a pin that you must enter to open the locker to "deposit" your parcel. Once the parcel is ready for the recipient to collect a different pin is send to your mobile phone that is needed to open the locker.
These lockers are freely available at petrol stations, shopping centers, etc.
Not only is it convenient and easy to use but it is also cheap and crazy fast. Okay, not so fast that you can send a plate of food or a birthday cake for your grandchild.
Back home and back on Steemit helping and advising when I got a message from hubby. The rugby trials are over and I must go fetch Divan as he has no helmet for him to bring him home with the motorbike.
Off again! When I got to the school I found Divan where he was sitting crying… He had a blackout while coming down the stairs and fell one story. His body was in pain but apart from a swollen head, he had no other wounds. I rushed him home, put him in the shower, and gave him some medicine. I was told to keep an eye on him and to keep him awake for at least an hour. He eventually fell asleep. He was crazy lucky!
I don’t even want to think about what could have happened.
My dearest diary, women are always right. I told the two men that morning that he cannot play rugby if he is sick. If only they had listened to me.
FROM DUSK TO DAWN
As the night was rushing in I could get back to Steemit and help the ladies. I could also answer a few questions on WhatsApp and give some advice.
It was time for a cheap, quick, and easy meal, curry chicken. A meal loved by the men.
Just after 22:00 and I said good night to the ladies. I just could not anymore. I was dead tired and I didn’t even had the energy to write a post nor to answer on all the replies.
I made us some coffee and tea and we had it in bed while we were listening to the rolling and susurrating of the waves. It was extra loud and so calming. Just what I needed after a crazy day.
Until next time.

Wow. A whole slider. I'm glad that nothing serious happened to Divan.
I thought you were at the computer all day waiting to read and evaluate posts.
What innocence of mine, hahaha. I hope everything is calmer at home today. Greetings.

Thank you for the concern. He is much better today but I kept him at home. His body is just very bruised.
Between all of yesterday I was on Steemit at least 7 hours. (•ิ‿•ิ)
It is amazing how time flies when you are on Steemit.
Best of all, I was not busy with my own personal blog. I am playing catch up today and luckily I am almost done.
You ladies are doing amazingly well. I hope you are enjoying the learning curve. (•ิ‿•ิ)
Well, yes, I'm trying to learn everything I can.
Thank you for your patience and your guidance.
