Wind! Although the word is wind the image is that of a fan therefore I am going to allow your entry.
It also gets very hot where I am staying with the result that we have air conditioners, ceiling fans and standing fans. Luckily we are going into winter now which results in the air being cooler. I read the other day that what you must do is to take a very wet cloth and hang it in front of the fan. The wind that comes from the fan will then be extra cooler. I have not yet had the opportunity to try it.
