ABOUT FROG

Frogs are little animals with smooth, wet skin, protruding eyes, and external eardrums behind the eyes; adults do not have a tail. Frogs have long hind legs and can leap long distances. Many species have webbed feet, which makes them great swimmers.

Most frogs, particularly males, are extremely loud. The vocal cords vibrate as the frog pumps air through the voice box, or larynx, to produce species-specific cries. Males of species with vocal sacs, which swell significantly when the frog cries to attract a mate, generate a much louder sound. The tongue of the frog is attached at the front of the mouth rather than the back, and it is coated with a sticky material, making it an effective trap.

Most frogs, like most amphibians, go through a free-living fishlike larval stage before undergoing complete metamorphosis into adult frogs. Many of these frogs lay their eggs in water, but some lay their eggs on vegetation above the water, in damp locations on land, or even on the back of one of the parents. The breeding season varies by species and geographic region, but it frequently corresponds with strong spring or summer rains. Most tadpoles graze on algae and other vegetation but a few are carnivorous and may even eat their own kind. They have gills and a tail. The tail is absorbed when tadpoles age, the lungs develop, the gills disappear, legs sprout, and the adult frog form is created. Some frogs, particularly in the tropics,do not have a larval stage; instead, they deposit eggs, frequently in damp regions away from water, which hatch into froglets.

BEHAVIOUR OF FROGS

Frogs exist in a range of environments, but the majority favour damp areas. Frogs, despite being air breathers, can stay underwater for extended periods of time and even breathe via their skin. Tree frogs are evolved to living in trees; other frogs are permanently aquatic; and still others spend the majority of their life underground, coming up only to feed or reproduce.

So this is all about my knowledge about frogs, personally speaking, i really scared of frogs. If I see from somewhere, I don't go to that place. Anyways i hope enjoyed going through my post. I would like to invite @kyrie @jannatmou @pea07 to participate in this wonderful contest.

Hello my dear friend @parineeta

Why frogs were introduced to many parts of the world, especially the Pacific, to control agricultural pests. The introduction of frogs into the region has been well documented, and frogs may be one of the most studied species. Why frogs were expected to prevent the disaster of beetle infestations in sugarcane plantations in Puerto Rico in the early 20th century despite the failure to control rats. The Puerto Rican project was successful and prevented economic damage caused by the beetle.

best regard @jannatmou
