Steemit Engagement Challenge, S9w1 : "Women Are Always Right!”

This is by far the most simplest topic I have met but that is just in sound and in words but not as simple as it sounds. It is a tricky questions that if one is not careful, will end up shooting herself on the leg, hehe!

But in the actual sense, are we always right? I have kept asking myself again and again ever since I saw this topic. I have taken time to ponder over it.

I almost agreed that women are always right but on a second thought, I decided to look at the meaning of the words that formed this question -

Women

A plural of woman who is an adult female human being. It is a combination of wo-men. It therefore follows that the men are the adult male human being.

Always

According to dictionary.com, this means everytime, on every occasion, without an interruption. It also means all the time, continuously, uninterrupted, forever, in any event and at anytime.

Right

Morally good, true or correct as a fact. Acceptable and so on.

The above is the background in which my argument sprang. Are we (women) always right in every occasion, uninterrupted, forever, at all events and at anytime? This raises eyebrows as we are women who also behaves like children sometimes and are also not perfect just like the male human counterpart.

Are women always right or do men rather give in? Give us your opinion and give us your reasons why you say so.

I will agree and disagree. I think it is situationaI, it conditional, it depends on the individual and the angle from which one is viewing the issue on ground. I will go with the three options presented below 👇
• Are women always right?
• Does men rather give in?
• Or is it both?

• Women are most often right compared to the men but they are not always, uninterrupted and forever right because for one thing, they are not perfect and can most times fail to be right. If they are always right, then there will be no need for the male to make any contributions in anything at all. But the last time I checked, the men also are right in most cases.

Men is attached to the pronoun, women because women can not be complete without the men. Please do not criticize me here. In occasions where decisive actions are to be taken, I think the men are always in for it unlike the women that will try to be emotional in most cases.

Women are feminine in nature even when they bring themselves to take some decisive actions, deep down in their minds, they are crying and limping around. They need the men to reassure them that they have taken the right decision before their minds can be strong.

If an argument ends up in favor of the women, it is just because the men want to give in in some cases, not that they are not right but for the sake of peace and at a better time, they still calm down to explain their stand on the issues of which the women will also agree with. Same can be said of the women who gives in for the sake of peace and still goes ahead at other times to calmly explain the reasons to the man who will also accept.

Hence, for me, the women are 60% right and the men 40%. That's my rating.

Do you think women should get away with “being always right”?

As a woman that I am, if my man always agree in everything I say and always give in, I don't always feel comfortable because I know and believe that he must have just been agreeing for the sake of peace and not that I am always right. I am such a person that likes other people's opinions. In fact, I make better decisions when after I had consulted with people that matter to me, be it men or women.

I don't believe that I am always right. We should rule out that notion of always being right because it can bring about over confidence that begets pride with it's attendant consequences of which failure is among.

Hence, in a home, it is those who give others the chance to also be right that lasts longer in a relationship. It doesn't mean that you are no longer a woman. We complement the men.

Name 3 things that women are always right about.

👉They are always right about finance management at home and few investment options for the family.

👉They are always right about healthy meals for the family

👉They are always right about the choice of accomodations for the family and that is why they are always consulted for that by the men.

There was a case in point where a man was extremely kind, hardworking and respects the marital vows. As a bank manager, he works till late and some times hangs out to have a good time before getting home. The wife on the other hand began to suspect him that he is not faithful. She began nagging each time the man comes home. To the point that she made the man to lose his job as a bank manager. At the end of the day, she discovered that the man had always been faithful and never cheated on her.

In this situation, the woman wasn't right because she regretted her actions.

In another occasion, a woman saw a business venture that will benefit the family and discussed it with the husband who objected to it. This woman went ahead to do this business and this made the man very angry but the woman decided that she will go on with it. After sometime, the business started to become profitable to the point that it became what was sustaining the family. At that time, the man realized that his wife was right about the business and he even joined her.

So, these are two different situations that shows the woman being wrong and in the other situation, she was right. Such is life. The same woman that had made the right decision can make a wrong one. Hence, they are not always right.

Do you have any advice (women for the men or men for women?)

Having seen that women are not always right, it is then important for women to be humble and keeping working on improving themselves. They are not in any competition at all with the man but are there to complement them. With humility, their decisions will like be right in most cases but certainly not in all.

There is need to give the men a chance to implement their own decisions. That way,even if we are always right, they too can build their own confidence and learn to be right too. Hence, we can serve as complements and not the lead party.

Whatever thing we are able to accomplish, we are grateful that the men contributed to it because, if no one is there to cheer you up when you right, you will not be happy and in most cases, may not even realize it that you have done the right thing. But with someone like him around who commends and cheers you up, your confidence grows. Hence, we always need men around to bring out the best in us.
