“Steemit Engagement Challenge, S9W1: "Women Are Always Right!”
Good day once again to everyone, my name is oluwatimileyin and I welcome you to the season 9 of the engagement challenge.
I welcome you to my participation in the week 1 of the Engagement contest with the title: "Women Are Always Right!”
The question "Are women always right or do men rather give in? Is a question that has been going on for a while now, and still no one has come up with a perfect response for it yet.
In my own opinion, both women and men can be right or wrong, and it depends on the circumstances, so therefore as a woman myself, I don't think it's fair to generalize one gender to be always right while we say one is always wrong.
• Are women always right?
No, it is impossible for women to always be right, and It's not proper to say that any gender is always right or wrong because everyone is different, and we are humans with our own different experiences. Women are human and so are men, anyone can be wrong sometimes, just that there are certain situations where women tend to be more right than men because they are knowledge in that particular experience.
• Does men rather give in?
Yes, we can say men give in sometimes, some men saw giving in to women as a sign of weakness which is not, rather it's a sign of maturity and accepting defeat.
Giving in to someone or any gender doesn't mean that the gender is always right, but just that they have more experience with the particular discussion than the other person. And there are some instances where men give in because they don't want to argue or so as to let peace reign because women love the idea of being right in some particular situation.
• Or is it both?
Yes, it is both, sometimes men can be right and women can be wrong or vice versa. It's not something that should be generalize to any gender , as anyone can be right or wrong because we are All humans, and no one is built to be perfect.
As a human, we all have places where we are good at and places where we are weak, no one is all rounder.
Nope, no women or men should always get away with being right. Being always right is not possible, you are supposed to make mistakes as a human, it's only the creator of things that has the power of always being right.
So it's not proper for anyone to have the belief that they should be right especially women, as this can creates a bad relationship with friends and people around you, you will seem egomaniac and many wouldn't want to engage conversation with you.
So Therefore as a woman, you should always acknowledge that you can be wrong and you should take blames when you make mistakes and stop proving to be always right
Yes for sure, there are some places where women tends to be right that men, and this doesn't mean that they are always right in this position, it just means they have more experience in them, for example.
- Relationship Building: when it comes to having a better understanding about relationships and emotions, women are mostly right in this, they have more instinct than men on how to process emotions.
- Parenting: when it comes to parenting, women are more nurturing than men, women have a natural instinct when it comes to parenting, and they tend to be more right and have proper guidance when it comes to raising kids.
- Multitasking: women can also do better than men when it comes to multitasking. Women have the ability to do multiple things at once and still be able to focus on all, this is the instances where women are more right than men, as they know how to manage their time at once.
Yes I had an experience of this last year, I could remember when we were doing a group project in my class, and this project consist of both men and women.
So that particular day, one of the women in the group had an interesting idea on how the project should be done, and she was adamant about it. But Initially, some of the men in our group were being reluctant, but she is resilient so she kept pushing for her idea .
And at the end, it turned out that her idea is actually right, and the project went well for us. This is to let us know that we should always to listen to everyone's ideas, regardless of their gender, whether it is a woman or not.
My advice for women is that, as a woman you need to be confident in whatever you decide on, don't let anyone tarnish your idea because of discrimination , and also don't be too egonomanic, be open to learn from others and you should know that it is impossible to always be right.
My advice for men is that, they should always be willing to listen to women and be open to their ideas as well. Don't assume that because you are a man, you should know everything, we are all humans, we live in different world with different perspective, and stop tarnishing people's ideas just because of their gender. Respect others and you should be open to learning also, don't let your ego gets the best of you.
Here is where I pen down my entry to this contest, so therefore , I would use this moment to invite @yakspeace, @Lhorgic, and @jueco to participate in this contest as well.
