Hello everyone this is Monz from India hope you all are doing great and enjoying your days happily. So once again I am back with my series of recipe and I would like to have our honourable member @ngoenyi mam. Happy to see the efforts of all the ladies for running this community.

Cooking is one of my most favourite hobby and though I don't get much time to cook but sometimes my cravings make me cook for myself.😄 So today for the DIY I will be sharing an easy and full of nutrients curry only with two main ingredients Gram and Potato.

So only few ingredients are required for preparing this curry I'm giving you the list below which is easily available in every kitchen of India and other regions too.

Ingredientsneeded for the recipeQuantity required
Soaked and boiled gram2 Cups
Boiled Potatoes5-7 potatoes boiled and peeled
Bay leaves2 washed leaves
Sliced onions2 fully chopped
Finely chopped tomatoes2 pcs
Chillies2 pieces
Mustard oil2 tbsp
Garlic & Ginger paste2tbsp
Spicesaccording to your preference

Let's get started with the Recipe

Step No 1

First of all take the soaked grams and potatoes and boiled it in a pressure cooker. After boiling them properly. Put 2 tbsp of mustard oil and once the oil gets heated add the bay leaves and chopped chilles and fry for a minute.

Step no 2

Add the sliced onions and stir fry them for few minutes and then add the tomatoes after frying the tomatoes and onions cover them with a lead for around 2 to 3 minutes after adding a pinch of salt. Pour the boiled grams and potatoes and fry until the turns brownish and colour.

Once it turns brown add the ginger and garlic paste and spices like turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder (half tbsp all spices)then fry them for few minutes again.

Step no 3

After covering the veggies for 5 to 6 minutes boil some water around 1 to 2 glasses and then add it for a thick gravy. Add a sachet of Maggie masala and 1 tbsp of salt also add 2-3 pinches of sugar .

Within 5 to 10 minutes your special and delicious gram and potato gravy is ready to be served. You can enjoy this veggie with bread, roti and rice.
