Assalam o Alaikum everyone! I hope you will be well and good by the grace of Almighty Allah who is the most merciful and gracious to everyone.
Today I am here to participate in a contest organized by @patjewell about the choices. I have chosen "Santa🎅" as my choice. If you haven't joined it yet and you wanted to join it then join and share your thoughts here about your favourite choice.

Santa is also known as the Santa clause. It has other names as well like Saint Nicholas, Kris Kringle. Santa is a beloved figure. It is a famous personality associated with the Eve of Christmas. It acts like a celebrity on Christmas. It is a legendary character. Santa brings gifts to the noble children and fir those who behave well on the Eve of Christmas. The getup and dress of Santa is its recognition. It is recognized by its costume. Santa is often known as a plump white beard man. And that man is dressed in a red suit. He has a sack full of toys. He has a sleigh pulled by reindeer. With all of these things and a costume Santa looks very unique and stunning. It looks very gorgeous. The children become very happy seeing Santa. Because they are already hoping to get some surprises as gifts from that white beard man.
The origin of Santa Claus can be found back to Saint Nicholas. He was a Christian bishop. He lived during the 4th century in Myra. That old Myra is now modern-day Turkey. Saint Nicholas was very famous for his generosity and kindness. He was very symphony to others especially towards children and the less fortunate people. He became the patron saint of children, sailors and many others. So because of his good deeds he became very famous and popular.
As time passed the stories and legends surrounding Saint Nicholas evolved. These were from various cultural traditions and folklore. One of the most important things who played role in shaping the modern image of Santa was the poem. The name of this poem was A Visit from St. Nicholas. This is also known as The Night Before Christmas. This Santa shaping poem was written by Clement Clarke Moore in 1823. This poem described the appearance and behaviour of Santa. It explained Santa as a jolly man who delivers gifts to children on the Eve of Christmas.
Another important thing about the modern Santa was the artwork of Thomas Nast. He was a political cartoonist in the 19th century. The illustrations of Nast presented Santa as we know him today. Through his artwork he explained it with a round belly, red suit, and white beard. So actually the Santa getup was given by Thomas Nast. The illustrations of Nast were featured in Harper's Weekly. And these illustrations helped solidify the popular image of Santa Claus.
Santa Claus became a prominent figure in popular culture. It started appearing in various books, movies as well as songs. There are different songs about Santa. People sing those songs. They play those famous songs on the Eve of Christmas. These songs are played especially at the arrival of Santa. I want to quote a famous song about the Santa which Santa Claus Is Coming to Town. This most famous song was written by John Frederick. The effective lines of this song played an important role in popularizing the idea and chatacter of Santa Claus. It represented the Santa as a joyful and benevolent figure who brings gifts to children worldwide.
The importance of Santa in Christmas celebrations cannot be ignored. He represents the spirit of giving and kindness. He represents the joy and excitement during the holiday season. As mentioned earlier children eagerly anticipate his arrival. They write letters to Santa Claus. The children welcome Santa warmly. They give out milk and cookies to Santa on the Eve of Christmas. People get another way of fun and happiness. So because of the Santa the holiday season becomes more wonderful. The existence of Santa creates cherished memories for families and children.
Santa Claus's contribution to Christmas goes beyond delivering gifts. He has become a symbol of joy and generosity. It raises the spirit of giving. The image of Santa Claus is often associated with the act of making others happy. This Santa character spreads happiness during the holiday season.
Because of its popularity in many cultures. It has become an integral part of Christmas traditions all over the world. Children eagerly await his arrival. Many traditions are just because of Santa's arrival. Without the Santa those specific traditions cannot be completed. The tradition of writing letters to Santa Claus is just because of Santa artival. The tradition of sitting on his lap at shopping malls is another fun for the children. And leaving out treats for him on Christmas Eve has become a cherished part of many families at Christmas celebrations.

Santa is a very amazing character which is significant in parades and holiday events. It even adds excitement and love in the community gatherings. People dress up as Santa Claus happily and eagerly. And then they play the Santa role by spreading cheer and delighting children and adults alike. The sight of Santa Claus riding his sleigh as well as waving and calling out the slogan "Ho, ho, ho!" brings smiles to faces. And this action creates a festive atmosphere all around.
The story of Santa Claus has transcended generations. This story and character continue to bring joy to people of all ages. Everyone enjoys this character. This can be found anywhere. It has become so popular that it can be found in movies. There are a number of movies representing Santa and showing the actions and functions of Santa. I have also seen Santa characters in many movies and stories. I will suggest you to see Miracle on 34th Street movie to see the Santa character in it. During the Christmas season Santa is used in different advertisements according to the area. Different companies advertise their special products with Santa logos such the coca cola brand.
Always remember that Santa character represents a wonderful thing which is the spirit of kindness. While the focus is often on receiving gifs. The true meaning of Santa Claus lies in the joy of giving and spreading love. It spreads happiness by making others happy during the holiday season. So the true meaning and the objective for the existence of Santa is to give to spread happiness and love not only to give gifts but with the gifts the love and happiness is given because many faces smile because of this action. And the person who works for the smile of others is the best one. Santa Claus is just lovely with his jolly behaviour and mood. During the Christmas wearing the red suit has become an important symbol and on the other hand a fashion. It is the spirit of generosity. It brings joy to millions of people around the world. 🎅🎄
