The Diary Game #65 || [27-12-2024] My First Time Of Attending An Evening Wedding

This is my coursemate wedding and I was among the ashoebi girls that will match the bride to the alter during the wedding procession.

After I was done with my house chores that Friday morning I dressed up for work and I carried my dress (ashoebi dress), my shoe and hand bag into a polythene bag to work, I had to carry all my belongings because I knew u will be passing from my office to the wedding since it was scheduled for evening.

I got to the office quite on time and I did not meet anyone, so I waited for the rest of my colleagues to come so that they can open the office door.

They finally came after few minutes of waiting, we opened the door and arranged all the stuff that needed to be arranged, while on the arrangement process, some customers came in to make some purchase.

We had so many customers to attend to that very Friday, I was so tired and exhausted, within me I was praying they should all go so that I can rest small.

We attended to customers till our lunch break has passed , but when they all finally left, we were all relieved, as we went to take our lunch. Three persons had to go first while one person remained, normally we used to go in two's but it wasn't so that day because nearly everyone was hungry and also wanted to eat at the same time.

After I was done eating, I went back to my section and waited for more customers to come patronize us.

When it was time for the wedding 4pm at a dot, I reminded my supervisor about my movement she said ok that I can go. Since I had carried my clothes and makeup kits and other belongings to the office, so I quickly changed into the ashoebi dress, did my light makeup and look a bit presentable.

Before I could finished up and moved to the wedding location it was almost 4:40pm, but before I left the office the wedding ground, I made sure I took some beautiful pictures of me, I will be dropping the pictures below.

After I had spend enough time snapping, I then order for a ride that will take me to directly to the wedding venue. I didn't want to be jumping from one tricycle to another especially as I didn't want to go late and also ruin my dress.

As God did it, immediately I arrived at the venue, one of the ashoebi girls same me across the road as they were about matching in the bride to the alter for the proper joining, so she call on me to come quick while she beckon on the bride and others to wait for me so that I can join them at once.

I was so lucky and happy to come and meet them outside, if not shame would have been on me for coming in late and walking alone to the front seat where the ashoebi girls were seated.

The Holy Matrimony went on smoothly as the pastor joined the couple together and after which he preach a very short sermon, after the sermon we took out quality time to pray.

We prayed so much, it was the church prayer week so the could not roll out that one day just for the wedding. At a point some of us were tired of standing so we went outside to do some snapping since the weather was getting dark.

After snapping outside, we came inside the church again, by that time the pastor has finished with the prayers and the part two of the wedding continue.

It was cutting of the cake and also order of photograph, so I took that opportunity to snap with the bride and and also too a group picture of us the coursemates.

We snapp lot of pictures and we also danced enough with the couple. Later on the cake was shared for everyone and food and water was shared too. I collected mine and put in my bag since I wasn't ready to eat there, I said let me take it home because that will serve as my dinner.

After the sharing of the food, prayer for closing was made and we were dismissed. The time was about few minutes to 8pm when the wedding was over.

Two of my coursemates were going my location, we had to trek a little distance to the major road inorder to see a bus that will take us back to our destination.

We stood there by the roadside for about 20minutes yet no empty bus came along but luckily for us a nice Camry stop by and gave us a lift , that was how I was able to get home successfully.

Immediately I reached the house, I undressed and took a warm bath, after that I removed the rice I was given from the wedding and I removed juice from the fridge and used in eating it for my dinner.

After eating I was so filled up and tired was my second name, I just retired to bed immediately. That was how my Friday was and I thank God I was able to attend to all my plans for that day successfully.
