The engagement challenge s16w3; "Raising boys and Girls"
Society has had to raise our children according to tradition where boys are to be tough, strong, and independent while girls are raised to be nurturing, sympathetic, and compliant which has limited the girl child and has continued to leave the girl child behind.
Traditionally most especially in African countries the girl child Will always be looked at on many occasions be it career-wise or in chores as the one who belongs to the kitchen which is so demeaning.
Many Jobs have especially been left for boys/men yet girls/women can even do them better and so are chores allocation.
Society and traditional beliefs have been the major cause of gender inequality and discrimination however there are other causes such as;
Parenting styles, education settings, socialization, and workplaces.
Parents and society have a big role to play to break down gender inequality because it all starts with them and so it should end with them.
Yes, boys and girls should be raised the same way because of the following;
Greater individual freedom and expression. When children are not limited by gender roles, they are free to explore their interests and talents without fear of being judged or discriminated against. This can lead to a resourceful society, as people can go after their passions without being denied by obsolete concepts of what is proper for their gender.
Confidence, better communication skills, good performance, and working hand in hand to better themselves can be all achieved without competing or looking down on each other on who is who.Gender equality.
We can create a better tomorrow and a solely society by treating girls and boys equally.
Let us show them that what a boy can do is also what a girl can accomplish. This will help break down the obstacles that have held girls/women in areas such as politics, employment, and education.
In conclusion,
We all have a big role to play. we are a modern society and hence we should leave behind the traditional social beliefs that support gender inequality. we are the future of tomorrow and hence the ball is in our hands. just like pink and blue are no longer colors used to identify gender because it's a color used by both so should education, employment, and politics.

In my opinion, society's traditional expectations for raising children based on gender roles have often hindered the development of girls. My experience as a father has shown me the importance of allowing both boys and girls to express themselves freely, without being confined to outdated stereotypes. By encouraging independence and strength in all children, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society.

I hope you are well. I saw your boost. I like you very much. I hope you continue to work like this. We must take care of the children and feed them well. They should grow up fast and get admission in such good schools and colleges and they should be taught well or so that they grow up to be a good human being and especially we need to educate our girls well.
