International Women's Day is approaching, a day that celebrates and honors women, making them feel appreciated and valued. Personally, I view being a woman as a significant blessing from the divine creator. This year's theme for Women's Day, "Invest in women: Accelerate progress," highlights the importance of recognizing women's rights and their potential contributions across various fields traditionally dominated by men.
Investing in women is crucial because they possess unique qualities such as patience and wisdom that can greatly benefit numerous areas of society. Despite lingering stereotypes, women are not limited to roles confined to childbirth and homemaking; they have the ability to excel in any field where men are active. Women wield the power to enact positive change in the world and play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of their children and families.
Every day feels like Mother's Day and Women's Day to me because I'm always surrounded by incredible women. From my mother, who cared for me since I was a child and still guides me today, to my wife, who is my constant companion, and my daughter, who brings immense joy to our family, I celebrate International Women's Day every single day.
Remembering and honoring the special women in our lives shouldn't be limited to a single day. We can show our appreciation through daily acts of kindness and respect. While March 8th is the official date for Women's Day, I believe it's important to celebrate women's contributions all year round, without waiting for a specific date.
Today, the role of women goes beyond just being companions to men. Women hold strategic positions in various aspects of life, including community leadership, politics, business, entrepreneurship, and even national leadership. Despite their diverse roles, many women still fulfill traditional roles as caretakers and wives, which remains an essential part of their nature.
