Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 16 kicked off this week! Involvement is critical. Through this contest, we can draw attention to the status of women in our nation or community. The theme this year is “Invest in women: Accelerate progress.” Admittedly, women's advancement and general well-being depend heavily on women's recognition and investment. Ethnic, social, and cultural development are greatly aided by the diverse roles that women play in the family, society, and workplace. International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8.
A worldwide celebration of women's accomplishments and contributions to history and modern society, it is observed on this day. Governments, businesses, and people all mark this day to honour women's accomplishments, lobby for positive policy and attitude changes, and increase public awareness of gender-related concerns. Investing in women is being called for globally and for the following main reasons:
Economic Development: There is a clear correlation between economic growth and the economic empowerment of women. Education, employment, and entrepreneurship are all facilitated by equal access for women, which boosts innovation and productivity and supports economic expansion.
Social Development: Enhancing the health and well-being of families and communities is possible through funding women's health and education. An advantageous cycle of development is created when healthy, educated mothers have a higher likelihood of producing children who are also healthy and educated. The cause of gender equality is furthered by supporting and investing in women.
Diversity and innovation: Women contribute a range of viewpoints and ideas to the workplace and decision-making processes. The preservation of social cohesion and communal stability is frequently greatly aided by women.
Health: Investing in women's healthcare, particularly reproductive health, benefits population health as a whole. Enhancing women's involvement in politics and decision-making procedures guarantees more inclusive and representative governance frameworks, including legal and political representation. The needs and viewpoints of the entire population are thus taken into consideration while developing policy.
Education: The advantages of funding girls' education are extensive. It breaks the cycle of poverty, improves individual empowerment, and has a favourable impact on family planning and infant mortality.
Football, cricket, handball, shooting, weightlifting, swimming, and other sports are among the sports in which Bangladeshi women excel. In athletics, women are still making an impact. Furthermore, on the battlefield, women are piloting jets in an enemy direction. Things have turned into reality today, as Begum Rokeya envisioned for the advancement and development of the women's nation. Women in today's society are not restricted to the confines of the past; women are progressing, and Bangladesh is progressing. moving on with confidence and removing the constraints placed on us by society. All of the world's best creations are immortal, according to revolutionary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Be kind; she possesses both male and female traits.
