RE: Choices! What will it be? #41
I have only ever flown twice in my entire life!!! Once was a local trip in South Africa and the other time I got to fly a little two seater plane - it was a really awesome experience!!! I know what you are saying about how beautiful everything is from "up there"...
When I flew that plane (assisted obviously, lol) There was actually a storm in the sky at the time. I think the pilot was quite surprised with me because I actually REQUESTED to fly through the storm, when his original plan was to avoid it and cut the trip short.
It was the most magnificent thing to do - yes, sure... a little scary - but I am still sooooooo glad that I did it!!! I will never forget the feeling!
I suppose in that particular instance, I did not really have much opportunity to sit and contemplate things because I was focused on not crashing the plane hahahaha... but I do understand that as a passenger it must actually be a wonderful time to just sit quietly and think and dream about life and things in general!
Lovely post @marcybetancourt <3
Thank you for sharing your contemplations with us and I hope you are having a beautiful week so far!
You made me laugh @jaynie. Only risky people think of getting into a storm instead of avoiding it, hahaha
But it cannot be denied that being up there gives us an unparalleled contemplation of the earth. The landscape, the river beds, the mountains, etc. That's on local flights.
On transatlantic flights we only see clouds before they tell us to go to sleep or everything goes dark outside. The sunrises are spectacular!!
Thanks for your very special comment. Regards!
...or crazy people :P
Absolutely!!!! It gives you a completely different perspective of the magnificent and magnitude of mother nature!
Always a pleasure! I hope you have an awesome Wednesday!
