There are different methods of baking or cooking that are used to prepare different types of food. Here are three main baking methods explained:

  • Dry Heat Baking (Dry Heat Baking): In this method no liquid or watery substance is used, food is cooked only through dry heat. This method is used to make cakes, biscuits, pastries etc using oven or microwave. The dry heat causes the outer layer of the food to become hard and crispy, while the inside is soft and fluffy.

✅Have you ever baked before?, what is your best method of baking?


Yes, I ever baked before.The dry heat baking method can produce many foods that are crispy, soft and rich in flavor. Some popular dishes and their best preparation methods are discussed here:

  • Cake:

Method: The oven should be pre-heated in advance, usually at 175-180 degrees Celsius. Mix the necessary ingredients like flour, sugar, eggs, oil/butter, and baking powder well.

Tip: Try not to overmix while mixing the flour, as this can make the cake tough. To put in the oven, set the temperature and set the timer.

  • Bread:

Method: Yeast is made by mixing flour, water, salt, and yeast. It is then kneaded by twisting it several times until it becomes soft and smooth.

  • Biscuits:

Technique: Cold butter should be used for pies or tarts and work quickly when mixing the yeast. It will keep the yeast crisp.

Accurate control of oven temperature and time is most important in dry heat baking, as these affect the texture and flavor of the food.
